In term 1.1 we studied poetry. I enjoyed analysing the poems. A strength of my assessment was I analysed the poet's use of language and explored the connotations. My target was to use more analytical verbs to tentatively explore the poet's intentions and images that were created. In this assessment, I got a secure +.

Term 1.2- Speech Writing:
In term 1.2 we studied speech writing and rhetorical devices. I enjoyed analysing and reading different speeches. A strength of my assessment was I used ambitious vocabulary accurately and effectively. I can successfully draw a graph. I can identify organelles in plant cells and their functions. I can compare plant and animal cells. I can name specialised cells and where they’re found. I can describe diffusion and where it takes place. 

Target:
I need to describe how to use a light microscope and improve the image screen. We learnt about different Ancient Civilisations and developing how we use our Historical Skills. The first topic allowed us to understand the different types of sources, like oral and physical. We then used our investigation skills and our source skills to try to solve mysteries such as that of the Tollund Man. I feel I have made a lot of progress in understanding the topics. I now know how to apply my source skills to understanding the Tollund Man case. We didn’t have that much home learning. I enjoyed learning new things like the different food, culture and buildings. I feel really confident in History. My grade was Secure +. I understand SCRIPT which stands for: Stimulus, Create, Rehearse, Improve, Perform and Talk and evaluate. I understand SCRAPT which stands for: Scene, Characters, Role, Action, Place and Time. I understand BUGPEF which stands for: Body language, Use of space, Gestures, Posture, Eye contact and Facial expression.
