In this article I learned that role models are people who inspire change for the good. They extend help to many silent voices and bring them to the light. For example, Malala Yousafzai- she published an anonymous diary about her life in Pakistan under Taliban rule. Soon after, she began to speak out more publicly about the need for girls to have proper access to education. She speaks not only for herself, but also for the other girls in the country who have similar opinions. She expresses the needs for the rights of children to go to school, which makes her a role model due to her courage in the face of adversity, her commitment to gender equality and human rights, her global impact and recognition, her dedication to nonviolence, and her empowerment of youth.

Turkish people found many children in their country that are autistic drop out of school. Some people interviewed many adults with autistic children that shared how worried they are for their child if they can survive when they grow up. They additionally shared the things their kids struggle. With information gathered, the people then worked hard to be able to make an app that provides games that help educate autistic children to learn academics and also about the outside world like reading facial expressions. They are role models to me because they went out of their comfort zone to provide autistic children with education they were not given. They had a heart to put in their effort to help the children. This makes me look up to them and makes me want to help those in need more. Showing empathy for others and helping them is very thoughtful and beneficial for not only them, but also for the future of the countries.

I have learnt that role models are people who can improve themselves, use their experience and help others improve, inspiring others to make a comeback no matter what happens.Crystal, the singer who lost her voice never lost hope and eventually regained what she lost from a impossible situation, and used her experience to inspire others to bring out the best versions of themselves.Allowing those she inspired to inspire others in the form of forming a group. All members of this group have shown resilience and are admirable for doing so.

I have learnt that role models are people that stand out and they hold good values. This group are role models to me as teens are lazily thought of as apathetic and self-centred. But these new generation of young activists has proved that many teenagers are, in fact, deeply concerned with social, political and environmental issues - and they’re fully prepared to do something about them. Greta Thunberg for example, born in 2003 is a Swedish teen activist who has became a leading voice for climate change activism. Many teenagers in the world do not care about the climate change and do not know the seriousness of the situation. Greta Thunberg raised awareness by protesting in august, 2018. Since then, more than one million students have joined her to protest against climate change inaction. She also added a comment that the leaders of her country are not taking this situation seriously and instead she will take the responsibility. Greta thunberg is also autistic and said that her autism has shaped her activism. This shows that greta thunberg cares about the world and decided to step up to make a change which is not an easy thing to do as it takes up a lot of courage, hard work and dedication. This is why she is a role model to me.

I think that the character in the video, crystal is a role model as she showed unwavering determination when it came to recovering her voice. Although she did get knocked down by losing her voice, she did not stay on the floor. With sheer determination and will, she decided to conquer this by writing a song to encourage her. She also shared her experiences with others who are currently in Girls home or children prisons, to remind them that what they did was in the past and they can start afresh. A role model is one who never gives up and one who other people can look up to. Crystal checks all the boxes.

I have learnt that role models are people that inspire us through their actions or stories that touch us and make us feel a sense of motivation. In the video “singer loses her voice and finds her song”, it talks about a heartwarming story about how a singer loses her voice, however her voice slowly comes back, allowing her to make songs again. The start of the video’s visual elements reflected silence, and peace, as well as a story slowly unfolding. However as the video progresses, the visual elements start to show vivid scenes and touching moments. This allows me to understand this role model’s story, and how it feels to step into her shoes. I feel strongly that she is a role model as she had battled internally both mentally and physically just to get her voice back. However, she did not just stop there, she had helped the community, and tried her best to use her story as a positive example to give back to the community. I feel extremely inspired and motivated by her story and her strong desire to help others as well. She, as a role model, had emotionally impacted me through her story and desire to help others. In conclusion, I have learnt that role models are prime examples with inspiring stories and actions they have done, that make me touched and inspired.

I learnt that role models are the people who are able to stay positive and happy even when they are being discriminated against. One very specific definition for specifically JoAnn Morgan. 50 years ago, during Apollo-11’s launch, JoAnn was the only woman in the control room. A widely known fact was sexism was very common in the 1900s especially in western areas and women were seen to be less intelligent or “dumber” than men. Hence seeing JoAnn persevere and. Continuing being the only women in the control room for Apollo 11’s launch despite having some bad sexism moments is amazing.

A role model is someone who is worthy of imitation, someone you admire and gain inspiration from. Their behaviour or success in certain aspects can be a huge inspiration to you and it makes you want to imitate them, to achieve the same thing. The person in this video is a role model to me because it is clearly shown that she is a very resilient person, who never gives up hope even though she faced a huge downfall. At the start, Crystal states that she woke up one day not being able to speak, which is a rare neurological disorder, Spasmodic Dysphonia. She then lost hope because the doctors said that there was no cure for the condition she got. Thinking that she was not able to speak and interact with people ever again, she started isolating herself. However, 2 years later her voice miraculously returned again. It all started with a whisper. She started to encourage herself by writing a song which then escalated to her sharing her song to give hope to people who are also facing challenges. She and her friends approached communities like a Girls home and the children of prisoners. She shared her personal crisis and as she shared on she also found a common ground where she reflected that hope opens up new pathways for us to truly live and achieve our dreams. Hence, I really admire the kind of person she is and how she encourages herself when she faces a challenges. I want to do the same, being resilient like her when I face setbacks, and strive to be a better version of myself.

I learnt from these teenagers that, no matter the young age, and the traumatic events and troubles they faced, we must learn to rise up from them, to benefit others so that they may not experience what they have. The leaders have all experienced something bad, but they were had a heart to stand up and help others, like the teenagers that experienced a gunshot incident at their school, who made a campaign to protest against gunshooting anywhere. The one who led them was the most admiring among them the leaders, as I’m sure that what they experienced must have been very traumatic, as many lives were lost and hers could have been taken. She ran this campaign to prevent others from getting hurt from this and that terrorists should be denied and disowned. I find her a good role model to me as I have been through many traumatic experiences, but i have not stood up from them. She teaches me to learn from them and even work hard for people to not experience what I have

We can feel motivated by knowing that we are not alone in experiencing certain challenges. By seeing that other people have managed to overcome those challenge, it renews our sense of resilience. The singer who lost her voice used her story to inspire other people who were going to difficult points of their life & inspire them to persevere through all obstacles & setbacks to emerge stronger.

I have learnt that role models can be of any age, from any background, that inspire and motivates people by advocating for others. Yip Pin Xiu, who was already recognised by the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC), continued to advocate for other disabled sportsmen and women on a national level. I admire that although she was already part of a national competitive sports agency, she understands from other disabled people’s perspective that they might not be as fortunate as her, and there needs to be a change. She uses her position in a positive way, helping others. She acknowledges the many issues, such as lack on integration, and changes that should be made such as recognising disabled sports as NSAS (National Sport Associations) instead of SDSC. Her efforts to help other disabled people is commendable as not many celebrities, role models and popular sportsman dare or really take out the time to think about the other talented sportsmen and women when they achieve popularity and a higher level, e.g. national sports agencies, competing on a national level etc. I find her desire to help others by using her voice when others can’t inspiring, and motivating.

A role model is someone who is worthy of imitation, someone you admire and gain inspiration from. Their behaviour or success in certain aspects can be a huge inspiration to you and it makes you want to imitate them, to achieve the same thing. In this story, I really admire Greta Thunberg for her bravery and courage to stand up against the leaders of her country. Born in 2003, the Swedish teen activist has become a leading voice for climate change activism. In 2018, she came up with the idea for the school strike movement after staging her first, solitary, protest in August in the steps of the Swedish parliament in Stockholm. Since then, more than one million students have joined her by walking out of their classrooms to protest against climate change inaction. This clearly shows how Greta was such a role model and an inspiration for people, that it led to more than one million students following her steps. “ since our leaders are behaving like children, we will have to take the responsibility they should have taken a long time ago.” This shows her bravery and her audacity to pinpoint and criticise the mistakes made by the leaders. Hence I really admire her bravery and courage to fight for climate change, protecting the Earth and even standing up against the leaders of her country.

From what this article tells me, I can infer that role models are extremely resilient and never give up. This can be seen from two examples. Firstly, Malala Yousafzai wanted to protest and plead for all children to have the right to go to school, as only males where allowed to attend school. Despite getting shot in the head by a gunman, she still persevered and continued to stand true to her words with steely conviction, a true testament to how truly resilient she was. The second example is Emma Gonzalez. After a school shooting and loosing many classmates, instead of mourning, the surviving students decided to band together to protest in an effort to end gun violence. Although they were hurt inside and had mental issues due to the trauma they faced, they thought about others before themselves, not wanting other students to suffer a similar fate. These two examples show the sheer resilience these young role models have.

I have learnt that role models are people who are people inspires other people to do good and make the world a better place. For example,Malala Yousafzai, she is a Pakistani female education activist. When she was 11, Malala Yousafzai wrote and published an anonymous diary about her life in Pakistan under Taliban rule, which quickly gained huge attention.Soon, she began to speak out more publicly about the need for girls to have proper access to education. However her life took a drastic turn, three years later, she was shot in the head by a gunman on a school bus.Luckily, the The assassination attempt didn’t stop her, however, and her profile has only risen further since then. She has appeared on the front cover of Time magazine and in 2014 she became the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition, in her Nobel Peace prize speech, she says that she was accepting the prize not only as her, but also for the forgotten children who want education. Furthermore, she speaks out about standing up receiving the prize for the children’s rights and for them to raise their voice, not to pity them. In conclusion, I really admire her bravery to speak out even though there was an assassination attempt on her.

Afterwards, she decided to two communities, and wrote songs with them about overcoming their crisis, which shows that they want to let everyone who hears them know that they can overcome their own crisis, it is whether they choose to make that change. After all this, she realised that she was not a victim, but has the power to be a hope giver. This shows true qualities of what a role model should be, leading the way and inspiring others to try their best to make that change in their lives.

I look up to Emma González, for she was showing perseverance by not feeling defeated by the tragic event, but she began a campaign to end gun violence. She was not only courageous enough to make a powerful and impactful speech at the ‘March for Our Lives’, in Washington, D.C she also spoke up for the classmates who were killed in the attack at the school she goes to, and then she stood still silently for four minutes, which was the time it took for the attacker to kill those classmates. This shows that she is a true role model, for she spoke up for the safety of others that are learning in schools, and also spoke for those that were killed, and silently respected those who were sadly killed.

In this article, I learnt that role models can be teenagers and young people, not just amazing adults that invent or discover things, but teens who wish to make a meaningful change in the world. The older generation might have certain biases due to their era, but these young people, although adults seem to have more authority, confidently stepped up to make a change they felt was necessary. I learnt that this is one of the values a role model should have. Role models are mostly good leaders as well. For example, Greta Thunberg led the protest against climate inaction. Role models have the ability to influence people, for better or for worse.

I have learnt that role models are people who inspire like-minded people to do the same good as them. As seen the teenagers in the articles are not the ones commonly associated that are lazily thought of as apathetic and self-centred but instead they are concerned and care about social, political and environmental issues and fear nothing to change by doing actions on their part. Example as Greta Thunberg, at only 15 years old had made ideas and plans and even grouped more than a million students protesting with her of climate change. The young activist has opened about her views and opinion of ‘their leaders behaving like children’ and ‘mess the older generation had made and clearing it up’. She also used her autism to shaped her activism instead of thinking it negatively.
This shows that as young someone could be, can be someone inspiring and looked up to for her bravery, courage and voicing out her concerns for the public to follow.

Yip pin Xiu is a role model to me as she has decided to voice out her concerns of the Singapore sports to the Nominated Member of Parliament. She has called for more inclusion in the Singapore sports system and explains that there is a lack of opportunities for the disabled despite the word inclusion becoming a word that is used often. Yip pin Xiu is also a disabled with muscular dystrophy, she pointed out that while there are unlimited opportunities for able-bodied people, it is a different situation for the disabled people. She shared that at the age of 12, she was spotted by a volunteer from the Singapore disability sports council. She said that not every child is as fortunate as her to meet a coach that brave and not many will be if the Singapore sports system does not set out to make changes. Firstly. Yip pin Xiu pointed out the lack of integration. Despite having two world records in the 50m and 100m backstroke S2, she has yet to be recognised as an athlete by the Singapore swimming association. Instead, all disabled athletes, regardless of sport, continued to be repressed by the Singapore disability sports council. This shows the unfairness in the system that yip pin Xiu wants to voice out. This problem has been lingering on for a long time with disabled people unhappy and yip pin Xiu wants to make a change to this by getting her courage and voice out, This is a tough decision as disabled athletes are not recognised enough. Despite this, she stills decide to voice out and even though She has also already been recognised by the Singapore disability sports council, she still calls out to be recognised by the Singapore swimming association for herself and the other disabled athletes. It shows how determined and committed she is to this sport and concern for the other disabled athletes

However, she miraculously gained back her voice after two years. Crystal wrote a song to encourage her and ended up sharing her song and hope to others. Crystal went to two different communities and found out that the people from those communities were quite similar to Crystal. She conducted workshops to teach the people to have hope as it will open up new pathways to achieve their goals. Crystal then wrote and recorded another song based on her experience. The song gave hope to other people and the pain experienced by Crystal taught her empathy. The pain allowed Crystal to comfort and connect to other people that are also in pain. Instead of being a victim of pain, Crystal decided to become a hope giver. By sharing what we have gone through, we can be a source of hope to others.

I have learnt that role models can be of anyone despite their disabilities but their perseverance to make a change in the community. Yip Pin Xiu who is a three time paralympic gold medalist is currently fighting for the equality of disabled swimmers and an led-bodied ones. In Malaysia, Both abled and disabled swimmers get the same amount of one million RM for winning gold in the competition which Singapore does not but Yip Pin Xiu have changed that and the winnings have doubled for disabled swimmers. She is an inspiring person that deserves the title of role model for her commitment to fight for the equality of disabled swimmer like herself to be accepted and treated fairly from all swimmers.

I think role models are people who, despite having a shortcoming, have tried countless times to better themselves, the singer in this scenario, despite losing her voice one day, didn’t forsake herself and continued to persevere and get her voice back. This is a very admirable action to me as it shows her unwavering resolve.

Those who never give up and assist others are role models. A rare neurological condition took away Crystal's voice one morning, the vocalist in this video. Crystal lost all hope of ever speaking again after the physicians informed her that there was no treatment for this illness. She isolated herself from people since she was unable to communicate with them. But two years later, she suddenly regained her voice. In the end, Crystal shared her song and optimism with others after writing a song to uplift her. This tells me that role models are people who inspire others and those that were inspired will join in and inspire those that are hopeless.

These teenagers taught me that no matter how young we are, no matter what horrible experiences or difficulties they had, we must learn to go past them and help others so that they won't have to go through what they did. The leaders have all gone through difficult times, but they have the compassion to help others in need. For example, the kids who witnessed a massacre at their school started a movement to stop gun violence in public places. Since many lives were lost and hers might have been taken, I'm sure that what they went through had to be extremely painful. This tells me that role models are people who help others who are in need of help to make sure that others don’t go through the same thing as they did.

From this article, I learnt that role models are people that go beyond their ways for people. These teens uphold good values and people can learn from them. For example, a person i really admire is Greta Thunberg. She is a global warming activist. The way she speaks the truth and steps up to initiate actions against global warming is very admirable. Despite being young and having a disability, she still tries her best to help global warming and tell the world a message.

Form this article, I have learnt that role models constantly improve on themselves and use their strengths to help others. The singer, Crystal, who had lost her voice, regained her voice. This process was extremely challenging and it was almost a miracle. She then taught the youth to bring out their best selfs and to always try and improve on themselves. Thus she is able to inspire people to be like her
