the imagery is given in the first sentence, "I imagine this midnight moment's forest." it is also coming off as the fox is the narrator/writer, and all about a fox that moves through imagination and is very mysterious. 11 stanzas are included in this poem (5 1 line stanzas with 23 lines in the poem in total). 

dulce et decorum est notes: 

there is a metaphor in section 5 towards the end, "drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots" this has to do with the physical state of the men. In section 15, there is a consonance with the words guttering, choking and drowning. There is also a rhyme scheme of ABAB. There are 28 lines in total, with several simile's in section 20 along with metaphors. the biggest thing is the imagery. 

I believe section 15 was a purposeful sentence that is separate from the rest with imagery and a sense of dread for the people. As the rest of the poem is more of a "blur."
