At a recent workshop, I learned about integrating phonics and math concepts in early years education under the IB framework. The session demonstrated how phonics helps young children develop reading skills through playful activities and how mathematical ideas, like counting and shapes, are introduced through engaging, hands-on experiences. The focus was on fostering a love for learning by combining literacy and numeracy in a way that supports the IB's holistic approach to education. And specially the literacy trainer was very impressive and showed me new ways of implementing the language in early years indeed it was a worth taking MOOT'24.

Regards,

Fareeha Masood.

These workshops really help us to grow and we learn that how can we integrate our practices with latest trends.

This time in our academic Moot we revised the progression in Early Years education. That how it is improving by using technology in our classrooms. How can we make learning more enjoyable with play, , what type of play. When and where to intervene, child led play should be focused. And pedagogical documentation is very important and how it can be made.

The idea that I like the most is that we have to polish the social skills of kids first. And with our guidance we can prepare them for future academic and social challenges.

A Journey of Growth: A Reflective Story on Professional Development:

The recent training session named Academic Moot 2024 was a profound eye-opener for me. The content was precise, and the resources and activities were genuinely relevant to our teaching and learning in the early years. Over these days, I was immersed in a learning experience that has given me a slight edge to achieve the aims, vision, and mission of our education system.

The highlight of the training was the opportunity to be guided and taught by our respected CEO, Ms. Tayyabah Amir Malik. Her insights into Phonics and her extensive knowledge of early childhood education were nothing short of inspiring. Her teachings provided practical, applicable strategies that I am eager to implement.

I got an opportunity to participate in a training program, "The Tales of Classroom" at Chak Shahzad. The title in itself was quite amusing and I was pretty much sure that it would turn out to be a life changer in my professional life. We were introduced to so many new concepts but one that specifically caught my attention was, "Knowledge Lens Framework". We learnt that individual's viewpoint can shape our understanding. Well I believe that it would help us in creating harmony among each other and solving problems. It also enhanced my understanding regarding the use of appropriate vocabulary.

In nutshell I would say this training would have an everlasting effect both in our personal and professional life. I am enthusiastic to apply these learnt skills. I feel myself to be highly privileged being a part of this insightful training.

Regards,

Uzma Ali Afridi

Town Girls Campus Peshawar

We learned about Knowledge and Play-based learning, which means that teachers should balance sharing knowledge with letting children learn through play. The teacher should be a practitioner, meaning they should practice what they teach. We also learned about Phonics, which is a way of teaching children to read and write by sounding out words.

Overall, the training taught us how to create a fun and interactive learning environment that helps children grow and develop. I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional training session you conducted on preschool learning methods. Your expertise and truly shone through, making the session not only informative but also engaging and inspiring. The valuable insights and practical tips you shared will undoubtedly benefit me greatly in my work with my learners. I am incredibly thankful for the time and effort you invested in helping us enhance our skills. Thank you once again for such a rewarding experience.

Regards,

Mahnoor Akhtar

Town Girls Campus Peshawar

I recently attended an academic Moot Called 'THE TALES OF CLASSROOMS 'As I reflect on those intense sessions, I'm filled with a sense of awe and gratitude. Our trainers introduced us to many concepts, includes 4 LENSES OF REFLECTION , TYPES OF PLAY and FREE-FLOW ENVIRONMENT but one that resonated deeply with me was the KNOWLEDGE LENS FRAMEWORK and PHONOLOGICAL AWARENESS. It was fascinating to learn how our individual perspectives shape our understanding of the world. Throughout the training I explore many things which includes to leave behind the concept of content and to focus on the the skills, one more thing which I'll certainly work on is to use appropriate vocabulary.

The experience has left an indelible mark on me, and I'm eager to apply the insights and skills I've gained in this session. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this training program and look forward to continuing my journey of growth and discovery.

SUNDAS GULL

TOWN CAMPUS PESHAWAR
