My Growth Journey:

I learnt a lot from this academic moot .It was a beautiful learning experience .Ms tayyaba Aamir was the trainer and I have learnt alot from her.We discussed how kids think and play, and the idea of 'free flow' which means letting them learn at their own pace. I also learnt about the 4 lenses of reflection, which help us think deeply about our experiences. I also learnt about pedagogical document which help us to keep a learning process of a child .Additionally, I gained insight into phonics awareness. Overall, I gained a better understanding of how kids learn and grow.

One area where I struggled previously was documentation, but our trainer's introduction to pedagogical documentation is a game-changer. She shared rich resources and provided real-life examples, making it accessible and practical. Through this training, I gained a new lens on my practice. I feel empowered and equipped. The training not only enhanced my professional skills but also instilled a sense of responsibility. I'm eager to apply my new understanding and continue growing as an early years practitioner.

I had attended 5 days ACADEMIC MOOT 2024, where I learned the following listed ideas and new knowledge that are to be utilized in teaching early years:

1. The significance and impacts of posing question in classroom.

   a. Personalized learning

   d. Alignment of distinct ideas

2. We learned about different theories of learning like social learning, experiential learning and transformative learning theory.

3. The difference between enabling and empowering of students, how they are different from each other and how they can be interrelated.

4. Listening skills should be more focused rather than visuals like videos etc.

5. Discussion on learning objectives and learning outcomes and how both should align.

6. Teaching of grammar in context.

7. Multi- Modal learning and it's purpose.

8. Holistic learning Approach

   It is considered as giving a whole education to a child that includes his social and emotional education.

   Supporting learning environment that's addresses social, emotional and ethical requirements.

9. Learning the guidance and counseling services.

10. How should teacher keep the records or data of her students on monthly or weekly basis.

11. Integration of subjects and different strategies of how to integrate subjects to make the learning more effective.

    
    

These were all the learnings that will be beneficial for me in this teaching journey. We did activities too where from the environment we learned how to tackle any activity and how to engage students in classroom activities.

I am really thankful to PakTurk Maarif for arranging such amazing workshops every year. These workshops really help us to grow and we learn that how can we integrate our practices with latest trends.

This time in our academic Moot we revised the progression in Early Years education. That how it is improving by using technology in our classrooms. How can we make learning more enjoyable with play, , what type of play. When and where to intervene, child led play should be focused. And pedagogical documentation is very important and how it can be made.

The idea that I like the most is that we have to polish the social skills of kids first. And with our guidance we can prepare them for future academic and social challenges.

At the AcademicMoot, I learned the importance of setting up the right environment for children to learn effectively. The session highlighted the significance of child-guided play and the concept of "free flow play," which encourages children to explore and learn at their own pace.

I discovered new ways to teach phonics and learned that focusing on how much a child understands is more important than how much curriculum we cover. The workshop also taught me valuable techniques for documenting children's progress.

Overall, this workshop has greatly enhanced my skills and knowledge in early childhood development.

The recent training session named Academic Moot 2024 was a profound eye-opener for me. Over these days, I was immersed in a learning experience that has given me a slight edge to achieve the aims, vision, and mission of our education system.
