As a teenager, I would always want to hang out with my friends whether it be at a sleepover, hanging out around the movie theaters, or attending one of my schools football or basketball games. No matter what it was, the conversations I had with my mom would go a little like this:

ME: Hey Mom! Can I go with Sabrina to the movies Friday night?
MOM: Hmmmm, no.
ME: But... Why?
MOM: BECAUSE I SAID SO!
