My student's age does not allow them reading so therefore is no question about using such a resource with them, but what must be done and fortunately would be done is to inform their parents about those dangers and provide them the resources, trying to collaborate for preventing from the earliest age situations as manipulating children in such purposes .

So far I have never discussed this topic with my students as my oldest students are 10 years old - as yet is it not in our syllabus and none of my students have ever mentioned anything related to sexting or sextortion.

In my school we use this film to introduce the topic about cyberbully and sexting
This video helps to educate teens to think before they send sexual content to persons they trust as these can then send their photos to others.
Teens who get involved in sexting may experience difficult consequences for their thoughtless actions.
I think that calling experts to talk to students about safety is a good way of helping them. They can have someone to talk to and to ask questions to.

Webwise have produced a number of videos around the sharing of explicit images. I have attached one called the Promise below about the pressures of sharing images while in a relationship

I would plan to use the Lockers resource pack to introduce the topic of sexting, the law around it and how to get support when something goes wrong.

Another resource has just been released last month from Webwise on the area of sexual extortion available at https://www.webwise.ie/beinctrl/

This is a topic that will need to be discussed with students but the concept of sexting etc. needs to be explored first with my students.

I have never discussed sextortion with my students. But I guess I could use this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O28gTvAqvow. It is an animation produced by a Portuguese Police Force; the text is in Portuguese, but the idea should be immediately clear for everyone here. I would show the video to the class and stop around 0.30 seconds, when the girl sends a private chat request to the boy. I would ask the students "Do you think he will accept the request?" and "Would you accept the request yourself?". We could then speak about some potential outcomes of the situtation (positive or negative). We would watch the rest of the video and have a class debate from there on.
