Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this class, students will be able to

1. Identify key elements to deliver a good presentation

2. Identify useful online tools to enhance your presentation communication to the learner

4. Create a visually engaging presentation

Learning design approach: ABC learning design

Students will be asked what they know about creating presentation and will place their answers on a Padlet.

Learners will be shown a Padlet link asking them to “Name a resource that can help with presentations and explain why?”

Aim: To test the students understanding of creating presentations

Students will be directed to quiz in which the will complete. The quiz will be composed of multiple choice questions to test their knowledge of presentations

Students will the be taught through presentation slides, developing on the points made by the youtube video

Resources: YouTube Video on tips to present with PowerPoint, Google slides

Aim: For students to apply their learning and create their own presentation.

Students will be asked to create a 3 slide presentation about the tool they identified in the previous Padlet. Once completed, they will email their presentation to their lecture where they will later receive feedback.

Aim: To enhance the students understanding of creating a presentation.

The students will be directed to a short short an online presentation via YouTube link on tips to improving their presentations

Tools: Canva

The student will be provided a google forms link to a session evaluation where they will complete a series of Agree/Disagree questions regarding todays session
