Communication is fundamental to globalization, acting as the process that facilitates the exchange of goods, services, ideas, and information across borders, making the world more interconnected.

CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION

the picture represents the concept of cross cultural communication, showing people from diverse cultural background greeting each other in their own linguistic, allowing for a bond to be created and communication to happen between different people with different cultural backgrounds.

GLOBAL AWARENESS

It reflects global awareness by reminding us that diversity is beautiful and communication connects us all. No matter our culture or language, we share one world, and understanding one another builds peace, respect, and unity.

Smartphones

• Based on my experiences in my senior high school days, these devices were very crucial specially during and after the pandemic era. Students makes us of these smartphones for easier communication with other students or even their teachers or instructors. This helps them also to gain more information about a certain topic or lesson from their previous lessons.

Internet

• Internet also helped in maintaining communication and connectivity within a wider range or longer durations. It also benefit the teaching staff for easier access of information for future topics and lessons which can be through online or face-to-face meetings.

Video Conferencing

• Even though I haven't much experienced video conferencing in my senior high school, I still can recall some of it. By this concept, teachers are able to deliver their lessons to their students by using variety of video conferencing tools. This ensures that there is a maintained quality education regardless of the cause of class suspensions or any other reason that temporarily stops the integration of face-to-face classes.

Social Media

• Social Media was one of the most iconic way of communication and exchange of information. This was commonly used to distribute information publicly within our school campus or locality. Some of it was class suspensions, schedules, extracurricular activities or festivities/special gatherings that involves our school participation.

• With too much globalization, it may cause conflict to educational goals and mission which may also lead to irrelevance of the topics to the current curriculum.

• Globalization can lead to educators to shift focus on global trends, cultures and traditions rather than their local or their own.

Advantages Globalization as a Future Educator

• Teachers may adapt more advanced technologies and tools which would make teaching easier and better not only for the professionals but also their students.

• Teachers can educate students with global issues making them aware of the recent happenings not only in their country but also the other parts of the world

Globalization encourages students to develop intercultural competence by interacting with people from different backgrounds. This helps them to appreciate diversity, respect different perspectives, and communicate effectively across cultures.

CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT Globalization allows educational institutions to enrich their curricula by incorporating global perspectives and issues. This prepares students to become global citizens who are aware of the challenges and opportunities facing the world.

INCREASED STUDENT AND TEACHER MOBILITY

Globalization has led to increased opportunities for students and teachers to study and work abroad. This promotes cross-cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and personal growth.

CULTURAL EXCHANGES

People can experience traditions, art, food, music, and festivals from around the world without leaving their country. And encourages appreciation of different ways of life, breaking stereotypes and fostering tolerance. Also cultures blend and inspire new forms of arts, fashion, cuisune and ideas.

CULTURAL HOMOGENIZATION

Traditional practices, languages, and customs may slowly fade as global trends (like Western fashion, fast food, and entertainment) dominate. And companies like McDonald’s, Netflix, or K-pop create shared global culture, but this can overshadow local people around the world may adopt similar ways of dressing, speaking, or consuming, reducing cultural variety.

CULTURAL PRESERVATION

Through social media, films, and tourism, cultures can showcase their heritage to the world. Technology allows languages, rituals, and practices to be recorded and preserved for future generations. Also UNESCO and other global bodies protect endangered cultural practices and heritage sites.

• The process where countries reduces trade barriers and facilitate economic policies to encourage cooperation and economic growth. One of the aspect of economic integration is to remove trade barriers so that countries can reduce or remove tariffs and other restrictions to other countries.

Global Media Influence

• It facilitates information exchange by enabling diverse amount of content through and across the borders and be able to influence or shape people's thoughts or opinions.

Global Marketing

• It's where company develop strategies and executing market plan on a global scale and some times adapting tactics to meet the cultural, legal, and market condition of the country and appeal to the people in the country.

This represents pre-modern globalization, when people started exchanging goods, culture, and ideas through trade routes like the Silk Road. Even without advanced technology, different countries were already communicating and sharing knowledge. This became the foundation for the global interactions we have today.

2. Colonial Globalization (Top-Right Picture)

The top-right picture shows the French Revolution, which happened during the time when European countries were expanding their power worldwide. This represents colonial globalization, when Western nations colonized many parts of Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Through colonization, they spread their language, culture, and systems of government. However, this period also caused the loss of independence and culture in many countries.

Post-World War II Globalization (Bottom-Left Picture)

The bottom-left picture shows people celebrating peace after World War II. This marks the beginning of a new era where countries started working together to rebuild and prevent future wars. Global organizations like the United Nations were formed to promote peace, trade, and cooperation. This era strengthened connections between countries through diplomacy and international development.

21st-Century Globalization (Bottom-Right Picture)

The bottom-right picture shows a modern protest, representing how people today are connected through technology and social media. In this phase, globalization is faster and more digital — information, culture, and movements spread instantly across the world. People can now unite online to raise awareness and fight for social issues. This shows how the world today is more connected and interactive than ever before.

Provide additional support or resources for learners transitioning in between institutions to avoid conflicts between standards on educational curricula.

1. Globalization helps teachers learn and grow.

For me, one good thing about globalization is that it gives teachers and students more ways to learn. We can find lessons, videos, and new ideas from other countries that can help improve how we teach. It also makes learning more creative because we get to try different styles and approaches. I think this really helps teachers grow and be more open to change.

2. It helps students understand other cultures.

I like how globalization connects people from different parts of the world. Students can learn about other cultures, beliefs, and ways of living, which teaches them to be more open-minded and respectful. As a future teacher, I want to use that to show my students the importance of understanding others while still being proud of their own culture. I believe this can make them more caring and accepting individuals.

⚠️ Disadvantages

1. Some students forget their own culture.

What I don’t like about globalization is that it sometimes makes people forget their roots. Many students focus too much on foreign trends, languages, or media that they start losing interest in our own traditions. I think as teachers, we should remind them that it’s okay to enjoy things from other countries but they should never forget where they came from. Loving your own culture is still important no matter how global the world gets.

2. Not everyone has the same access.

Another issue is that not all schools have the same opportunities when it comes to technology or internet access. Some students are left behind because they can’t join online classes or use modern tools. It feels unfair because everyone deserves equal learning chances. As a future teacher, I want to help lessen that gap in any way I can — even by using simple and accessible teaching methods.

• Being able to use a wide range tools from around to be able help me in my teaching career.

• Being able to teach in other countries and seek opportunities in those countries.

Disadvantages

• Being able to access other countries means others can too so it also increases completion and might be more difficult to find opportunities due to increase in completion.

• Needing to adapt and understand the culture and custom of the community when changing places to teach or work at.

As a teacher changing teaching style from time to time is a must and nowadays tracking trends and changes can be easily done by a few clicks of a button making the teaching process much more efficient and effective.

The standard for education are constantly increasing leading to pressure for teachers that must prepare to meet those standards.
