I really appreciated the video on the Logic of Backwards Design with the six facets. It was something I was really struggling with when I started working on my assessment plan draft but that video made it much clearer and I was able to fill out the chart for myself.

I think a strength of my unit are my transfer goals, they clearly connecting to my enduring understandings and I feel they apply to life beyond the classroom.

I think I need to refine my performance task a bit more, it seems a bit broad still so I think I could benefit from some personal reflection about it as well as some peer feedback.

As we continue this process I think the thing that would be most helpful for me would be continuing to see examples of completed units as well as peer feedback about my own unit and hearing from classmates about how they are approaching this process.

It was most helpful to receive one-on-one time to go through my formal assessments and discuss the different evidence I would look for. I also appreciated the detailed videos to walk through the different parts of the assessment template.

I have a clear order of activities and when I will have formal and informal assessments to help guide my student's enduring understandings.

I want to further develop scaffolding techniques to better support my EL students.

I would appreciate seeing more past examples of stages 1,2, and 3 as well as the assessment template.

It was helpful to meet one-on-one to clear up confusion with certain parts of the UbD map and assessment plan. The videos in the modules that helped explain the tasks were also really helpful.

I think a strength of my unit plan is the essential questions and transfer goal - my unit is directly useful outside of the classroom and will build SEL skills that students will continue to use throughout life.

I will need to continue working through the details of my summative assessment and how it will be delivered to 1st grade students.

It would be most helpful to have more examples, especially for younger grades.

Breaking down the activities in videos, specifically "The Logic of Backwards Design with the Six Facets," was very helpful in working through and drafting those parts of our unit tonight. It was also super helpful to be able to reference the Padlet and slides from last week's session with Mike. It really helped jog my memory about some of things we talked about with him last week.

Right now, I think a strength of my unit design is my summative assessment. I really wanted to challenge myself in thinking about more creative assessment methods, especially for a unit about functions, their features, and their graphs. Using the Assessment Plan and the GRASPS method really helped me solidify a task that I'm more excited about compared to a "standard math test."

I think an area I still need to further develop for Stages 1 and 2 are the details about my formative and summative assessments. Although I like the overall idea and intention I have with my assessments, I really want to make sure my impact matches my intentions in this way.

Seeing any examples of the process along the way is very helpful! I know I'm in the minority as a high school math teaching candidate in this class, but any math examples would be hugely helpful as well!

I think it was helpful to see and listen to the videos provided on the platform. I also took a look at the organizers that Matthew talked us through last week. It's nice to be presented with examples (like the driver's ed example) and then apply that to my own work.

One strength of my unit design is the simulation assessment component. I think it gives the unit real life, applicable meaning. I am hoping it encourages learning and gives history a context to learn in.

I think I would like additional help with the last 2 letters of GRASP. I have a vision of what I want to happen, but I am having trouble putting that into words.

I would like to collaborate with more people and get ideas from their unit plans.

An area that I would need help with is just having someone to bounce my ideas off of to see if what I am coming up with makes sense. This collaboration is great to also get ideas and the partner feedback has been great.

Other curriculum would be a helpful resource. Just to see what other ways there are to teach the material. Getting from other sources and incorporating something that relates to the students is important.
