Hi everyone! I’m a current early childhood educator and PO transfer student, graduating in Spring 2025 with a BA in Early Childhood with an emphasis in Trauma Studies.

I aim to achieve an MA in special education and pursue a career in advocacy. While I have always had a passion for learning, traditional educational methods have not always been successful for me. Pursuing education through PO has allowed me to work towards my goals while continuing to teach in a classroom full-time.

A Little Bit About Me

I am happiest when pursuing creative ideas and projects, including creating art, reading, and puzzles.
I grew up near Yosemite but have lived in the Bay Area for 9 years now. Both the mountains and the beach are my favorite places to be, and I love to be in nature.
I grew up in a large family, and now have 11 nieces and nephews. Auntie life is magical!
I affectionately label myself as "neuro-spicy" with ADHD superpowers and struggles. School can sometimes be difficult because of this, but I am determined and love learning.

Volunteer Work

One of the hardest and most rewarding things I've ever done is becoming a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for foster youth. I'm an ECE Lead at an independent preschool-8th grade school in the Bay Area. I've been teaching preschool-preK for ~15 years. I have a background in working with school-age and exceptional needs. I am passionate about inclusion, play & project-based learning, SEL, and building connections to nature. I love seeing children blossom in their own confidence in themselves!

This past year, I was awarded for teaching excellence in working with children facing challenges. It significantly encouraged me to continue improving myself as an educator and showed me that my journey has been meaningful.
