- you can report any concerns about the maitence of the animal area to someone

- you can raise money to help pay for better equipment for cleaning supplies for the areas/tanks.

Benefits to captivity

- It attracts people and earns the place more money

- People know the animals are safe

- According to CNN, “Sea pens can be effective for transitioning a
rescued animal back to life in the open ocean, but they are not appropriate for
long-term care."

-This relates to the movie because the whale, Willy, is put into captivity and eventually gets his way out.

Negatives to captivity

- the animals are poorly treated, or you do not know how well they are treated

- the animals will never be exposed to there natural habitat and wont adjust well

- according to the Wild Animal Sanctuary "Exotic animal mismanagement has reached epidemic
proportions, as the entire captive wildlife industry stands divided by their
ethical views”

- this is like the movie because when Willy gets taken out of his home and into captivity it take a while for him to adjust to everything.
