My understanding is that it was an event that happened during WW2 that was one of the worst events throughout history. It was where the regime of natizs would round up Jews and lgbtq members to make them do forced labor and eventually kill them.

I know that the Holocaust was a very harsh time for the people active in it. The camps had very bad conditions. They made people do forced labor. The jews and colored people were targeted by hitler, giving them the hardest time.

I know that over 6 million Jews were killed in many different ways like concentration camps and gas chambers. after the war ended Jews got their own country for them to not be in danger anymore in 1948. SS officers would separate families to see if they are well or not, if they were still healthy they would put them to work, if they were not they would kill them almost immediately.

it was then disbanded in the end of the war, 1945. where the Jews and all the people who protested and the people that "didn't belong" were freed and let out. Tho most did something called a death march were they would march for a long distance and then be killed.

How long did it take for Hitler to get all the power in Germany? Why did HE get the power? How did people still believe him even after he started killing everyone and not doing what he promised to the Germans at the beginning (he was way too nice about it)? Why didn't anyone try to overthrow him (Apart from the allies obviously)?

In Auschwitz, people were treated horribly, at first they were put into cattle cars packed with people, and had barely any food to eat. When they arrived, they were supervised strictly by officers and were forced to do labour, and was ultimately a death camp at the end of the day, as not many Jews or other groups were able to escape or survive in those camps.

We know that the nazis kept the secret of the holocost until 1942, they tried to destroy the evidence by burning documents and photos, getting rid of the bodys and the main poeple apart of it leaving to other countrys. As a example Adolf Eichmann he fled to argentina.
