I think that the French Revolution was one the true cases of "history is only told by the winners" it is very hard to gain another perspective on the French Revolution that is different to "King Louis the XVI was a indecisive absolute monarch" at the same time I also believe that the French Revolution was one of the most important events of European histories because it clearly showed how the the masses (in this case the 3rd estate) is not a force to be reckoned with. It also clearly shows in France today, France is equal and values the natural rights of man, no-one is higher or lower in class to anyone else. Personally I believe that it was a successful revolution for the 3rd estate because they got what they wished. I learnt lot about the French Revolution, but one thing that initially was difficult to comprehend was the relation of the reign of terror to the French Revolution but I later learnt that the Reign of Terror was a product of the French revolution. I also enjoyed reading through the texbook because it was a detailed account of all the events that had taken place in the French Revolution, I enjoyed this far more than I enjoyed reading TCI in other units.

I really like the way we studied about the french revolution in class. I liked the idea of having all the resources in one padlet so that we don't have to search again and again. I also liked the way we had all the discussions. I think that it was a really interesting way to learn. I also like the mind maps and the hands on activities we did in class. I would have liked if we had more videos and conferences.

Learning about the French Revolution was cool, because it played a significant role in world history after it's fact. Decades afterwards, the Napoleonic Wars raged, and the emergence of democracy became more and more acceptable. Balance of power politics continued till the Realpolitik of Bismarck, emerged with the unification of Germany, ultimately leading towards WWI and II. The French Revolution cannot be understated as the events in one country affected politics in Europe and by that extension the world, due to this fact. I hope to learn more about the effects of the Revolution, not limited to France but the world in the future, and overall, it was a really great experience!

I believe that this unit was very successful as we were able to learn a lot during this unit. Initially, I had found some content difficult to understand, but as we had many discussions in class regarding many aspects of the French Revolution, I was able to understand everything. I liked the videos that we had seen in class on the revolution, as well as the mind maps we made. However, we could have had more debates about the topic of the revolution and I also would have liked if we could have had more detail or practice source analysis. In all, this unit was very interesting and I enjoyed learning about it.

All together I really enjoyed learning about the french revolution. I leaned about all the 3 main estates that were there and how did it impact in the french revolution. I also like that how did we include the political and social and economic factor that had impacted the french revolution. In this I also liked that how we had all our resources in just one place where we can view all the documents and the videos that were given in the padlet document. Also our vocabulary words that we had done in this unit which also told us about some words that happened during the french revolution such as the national assembly in where all the members of different estates contributed with each other to make the society better , even the place where the national assembly was conducted such as the tennis court oath and how did people communicate and share ideas with each other. Even about the reign of terror which had caused many deaths in the french revolution. Also how to forget the game that we had played which was really very intreesting and made us learn of the the three esates better. Even the formatives that were conducted in this unit which again helped us understand the estates better and gave us lot of information from the book that was provided to us given for the formative. Overall this was a really very good learning experience about the french revolution.

The French Revolution was very interesting to learn about, because I knew close to nothing about the French Revolution, except the famous expression of Marie Antoinette; "let them eat cake", and that they chopped off heads on a "guillotine." I think it is always interesting to learn about a part of history I never knew existed. I think this unit was definitely more interesting and engaging than the last unit.
About the classes we had, I really loved the discussions and how we compared all the different political, social and environmental factors of the revolution.
I would have really liked it if the formatives were more engaging and maybe they could have been better if we had more project-based formatives and group formatives. Also, I get that it was kind of a sub unit of the revolutions unit, but maybe it could have been a little longer? it would have certainly helped my understanding of the overall unit.
All in all, I think that this was a very interesting, fun and
successful unit. I enjoyed learning about it a lot!
-Kabir Khanna

I liked the unit (well at least up until now). I think the French Revolution was a topic that's really fun to learn because it doesn't only teach us about division in society, but how people in the bottom can change things as well. There are 3 estates, with the royalty and the clergy in the first estate. The second would consist of the nobles. The 3rd is of course the peasants. Even learning about the economic, political, and social factors that caused the french revolution allows us to apply stuff that we've learned like inflation in economics, and just social interactions between people in different classes. There were also many activities that allowed the students to have a healthy and informative discussion.
It was fun for me as well because I was able to incorporate a lot of stuff that I've learned before, and I was able to learn new things about France during that time. We even learned things about France after the revolution, and we learned about Napoleon (well if you did the research). Even though there was so much war and chaos after the revolution because the revolution couldn't establish a new government successfully, but there was a republic created finally allowing everyone to see the type of government that everyone can have rights (well, equal rights). All in all, I really enjoyed this unit, and especially the activities and games we played because it was not only fun, but it was a fun way of learning.

The French revolution was a very fun and interesting topic. I really enjoyed because we got to learn about many new and intruiging things such as the storm of the Bastille, the 3 estates, etc. We learnt about hierarchy as well. We had many activities which were quite fun like the activity where we were given a song and had to research on how that song was related to the French Revolution. I liked learning about the different governments like the republic, democracy, etc. There were many other things that we learnt about in the French Revolution text book, this book was great because it had everything about the French Revolution in it. We used it to learn many things and I feel that this was overall a very fun unit. I would like if we had more project formatives/summatives. We had sufficient time for everything and I think the new terminology we learnt was quite interesting.

But in this unit, I got to learn about general information about the revolution- How it is caused, why, etc. I also got to learn one of the most important event in the world, French Revolution. Since before we started with just general informaton about the revolution, I was quickly able to learn the French Revolution. I liked how we watched videos and did some activities, class discussions and were able understand both long and short term impacts or causes which led to the French Revolution. However, if I was able to change some parts of the units, I would do more activities- such as quiz which

I really enjoyed the 'French Revolutio' unit, because in general it was very interesting and fun. This was a very different unit, as we did many activities (like the coins game, the scavenger hunt, etc) to learn about the unit. We also watched many videos related to the Revolutions. Something I really found interesting was how even the third estate, which was the weakest of all helped in sparking and reforming the government of France. Although in the start of the unit I was unable to comprehend some things, soon, when we did interactive activities, I was able to get a hang of the Revolution and its long term/short term causes. I would also like to add the fact that the formatives were actually a lot of fun, as we learnt new things, and they didn't feel like formatives, they felt like fun and interactive activities. Some of the activities I liked include the song (where we had to relate the song to different revolutions), the board game (where we came across different event in the revolution) and the scavenger hunt we did (online). Although the unit was a lot of fun, if we would have had a treasure hunt which might help us gain extra understanding of the French Revolution and how it's events took place. But, overall, I think that this unit was a lot of fun and I learnt many new things and vocabulary.
