 There are a few steps to do to make sure your cat is healthy before you buy your first cat.

 First step, check if the cat eyes is clear and there is not a lot of water coming out of its eyes. Also, check the corners of the eyes for any white skin showing, which could mean there's a problem.

Next step is to make sure there is no sign of running nose or some gooey stuff around the nose. If yes, it could mean your cat is unwell. 

After that, you should check the ear and make sure it is clean and free of any excessive dirt or wax-like substance, which could indicate the presence of mites.

Spread the fur to check the skin for sores and scabs, which indicate a fungus condition.

Lastly, you should check if there's a black dot on the kitten, as these black dots should be fleas and flea eggs. Next, check their little nose. It should be clean and not have any yucky mucus coming out. If there's no mucus, it means they're not sick.

Now, let's move to their ears. Make sure they're clean, without too much dirt or waxy stuff. If there are little bugs called mites, and we want to avoid that.

Next, gently look at the fur by parting it a bit. We want to see if there are any sores or scabs on their skin.

Also, we should look closely at their fur, especially around their neck and back. If you see any tiny black dots, those might be flea eggs.

Last, let's check their litter pan. Make sure there are no signs of diarrhea.
