Is Covid-19 affecting your daily life? Well, you are not alone, millions of Americans can agree that Covid-19 has affected their daily life. Some would say it is positive changes, but most would say it has been negative changes. The first confirmed case of covid-19 in the US was in January 2020, and cases continued to rise. Cases spread all around the world and affected about everyone in America. The readers could be impacted by Covid-19 in many ways. It could be not attending in person school, teaching virtually, worsening mental health, and/or, losing a business.

The Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting economic recession has negatively affected many peoples metal health. “During the pandemic, about 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. have reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder, a share that has been largely consistent, up from one in ten adults who reported these symptoms from January to June 2019. A KFF Health Tracking Poll from July 2020 also found that many adults are reporting specific negative impacts on their mental health and well-being, such as difficulty sleeping (36%) or eating (32%), increases in alcohol consumption or substance use (12%), and worsening chronic conditions (12%), due to worry and stress over the coronavirus.” (KFF) This shows at least 40% of adults in the US are being negatively influenced because of covid-19. Watching the news also can raise peoples stress levels because the news can over-exaggerate issues, which could have led to the 36% of people experiencing difficulty sleeping. Hopefully as things get back to normal the amount of people who reported symptoms can feel a sense of relief. To summarize everything said, the percent of adults that have reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder has went up 30% due to covid-19, meaning mental health of Americans is worsening.

Students and teachers are also being affected by the Covid pandemic. Many kids are struggling to keep up and get help in the online environment luckily schools have begun allowing kids back into the building a few days a week. “Joe Biden says schools should be open in the fall” (Today). As stated in this news source the president believes all schools should be offering in-person school. Students are not the only ones struggling, teachers are having trouble also. Many kids will log into class and leave their computer leaving the teacher talking to no one. Teachers might also struggle producing content that entertains the kids to prevent them from disengaging from the lesson. In closing, both students and teachers have been experiencing impactions from Covid.

Many businesses have had to close their doors, which is affecting their lives. During lockdown, many small businesses could not allow costumers into their store resulting in sales dropping and not being able to pay rent. For example, restaurants are having to operate at just 50% capacity they are used to. This means they are only making half the money they used to but having the same bills. Some of the businesses that had to shut down will not be able to recover, leaving them searching for work.

Overall, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted every American in some way. Weather it is not attending school in person, worsening mental health, and/or losing a small business. There are also so many more ways people have been affected, those are just a few. As more people get vaccinated the more things will start to open.

Do you want to learn about money but have no idea where to start? Then Rich Dad Poor Dad is the perfect starter book for you. This book will not only help you understand money better, but it can help your thinking ability. Although when reading this book, you can’t just go through and read it like most other books, you want to take the time to think about the chapter to embrace what was happening. By the end of the book it will have all been worth your time because you will have acquired some new knowledge.

In the book it will have 6 different lessons the first being “The Rich Don’t Work for Money.” second “Why Teach Financial Literacy?” third “Mind Your Own Business.” fourth “The History of Taxes and The Power of Corporations.” Fifth “The Rich Invent Money.” sixth “Work to Learn—Don't Work for Money.” This book is about Robert Kiyosaki and his two dads. And Robert decides to observe from his poor and rich dad to see the differences. Now one of the biggest take away from this book is in the very beginning of the book and how it talks about a persons mentality. Early on Robert found himself comparing the two dads his poor dad (his dad) to his rich dad (his best friends dad) to see who he will be taking fanatical advice from in the future. Now when Robert was comparing them he noticed their mentality affected them a lot, his poor dad would say things Like “I can’t afford it” or “I’ll never be rich” and “The reason I’m not rich is because of you kids” and it would come true. The Rich dad on the other hand had a great mentality saying things like “How can I afford this” and “I am a rich man” also “The reason I must be rich is because of you kids” and it affected him in a positive way. After observing their mentalities, he wanted to learn more from his rich dad so he decided to go and learn from his rich dad, but he wasn’t taught like he thought he would be. He also learned saying negative things like “I can’t afford it” shuts down your brain and looks for excuses as to why you can’t and when you say “How can I afford it” your brain automatically starts thinking up new ideas. Later, Robert would be taught something very important that the rich do, and the poor don’t and that is the rich make their money work for them while the poor work for their money. If you were to ask adults on how to make money most of them will say get a job. In the book Robert talks about Assets and liabilities. Assets will put money in your pockets while a liability will take money out of your pockets. He says to make money while not working is assets. And to get started, yes you will need a job, but the rich don’t stay in working the phase for long while the poor do. You can get confused very easily about what an asset is which is why before you buy something you think is an asset look into it because the rich dad says “the rich acquire assets. While the poor and middle class acquire liabilities that they think are assets”. Also, the rich dad said “The single most powerful asset we all have is our mind. If it is trained well it can create enormous wealth” so while some people, try to learn how to make money work for them they haven’t learned they need to train their mind as well. Finally, the third most important thing Robert learned in my opinion is working a job all your life will guarantee you fanatical problems in the present or future. The rich dad once said that “Job is an acronym for just over broke” meaning if you have a job where you earn a paycheck a and you don’t use your money responsibly you will be broke. He also says “rich people build networks; everyone else is trained to look for work” so that means Rich build businesses and hire the people running looking for a job. The rich know that having a job will create fanatical problems so they go out and start businesses so they make the most money possible so they don’t have these problems, they want to be the one hiring not the one waiting to see if he gets hired.

The book is great for beginners and will give you a new view on money you will understand money so much better. It is amazing what this book can teach you. So, in conclusion reading the book Rich Dad Poor Dad will give you new knowledge on how to make money.
