We currently do internships in Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) with what I would call an "on demand" model (either we have a project/idea or a student comes to us), but this timing is great, since we're just starting discussions about how we can have a more sustainable model. Our university has multiple models, some of which we can engage with more easily than others.

We're looking to reactivate our internship program at the Kentucky Historical Society post-pandemic, so I'm here to learn and get some ideas that might help guide that process. Also, my time as a Learning Lab intern literally changed my life!!!

For Carol: Who is the "official" supervisor or instructor of record for your internships? Long story short, I've had some resistance to being the IOR for internships out of a department (in which I am also a faculty associate), and we can't currently host internships from our department in the library and I'd love to hear how it works for you!
