The line that resonated with me the most in this peace is the author wondering "...if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human." This line evokes positive feelings within me because what he is describing are the type of people I want in my life. I hope to surround myself with people who can celebrate my or their own success and joy with no negative skepticism.

“I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.”

This line made me feel uncomfortable. When I was younger I enjoyed me time, but as I’ve gotten older I’m not as content when I’m by myself. I think that when I liked my time to be alone I felt like I had all the time to do what I wanted. I think now I feel like the time I get to myself, I should be working on something that is productive to myself in the future, and when I’m not I feel lazy.

I want to know if you will risk
looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being
alive."
This line really hit home for me. Throughout my life I have had to pick and choose who I decided to keep as a part of my everyday. I chose my friends not based off their age or their past, but what they are willing to give up. My best friend is almost three years younger than me, but we have been friends for five years and continue to, because we love each other and will risk our own reputations to protect one another.

“I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!” this quote motivates me because it ask if you are still willing to have a positive attitude even when you fail. Most people give up when they fail but only the successful move on and learn from their failures. Everyone’s going to fail in their lives, the question is either you’re going to Get back up or not.

I want to know if you will risk
looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being
alive."
Every dream that looks impossible gets people called a fool for believing in it, even as people are proven right. We have touched the moon, freed the slaves and given them equal status, given women the ability to carve their own futures, and much more. The only thing that can stop a believer in something from realizing their dream, is doubt.

This time made me so grateful for everything I have and to be happy with the little things in life.

The line which struck the most was the one which said, “I want to know if you can see the beauty even when it’s not pretty, every day, and if you can source your own life from its presence.” This line gives the reader a great feeling. The line reminds us how dealing with hard times is a choice. You could complain about your issues or realize you’re lucky not to be born into poverty or to even be here in the first place. It’s a philosophy I’ve used myself to improve my own life. When I struggle on a math concept and my grades start dropping, I can remember to stay positive and look at the bright side.

This excerpt really evoked lots of through provoking emotion. A line that really stuck out to me was this first line, “it doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you are to dream of meeting your heart’s longing”. I really like this line because basically it’s asking what are your aspirations in life and are you going to do whatever you can to make sure they can become a reality. I think that this is a good philosophy for life because if you aren’t actively trying to achieve a big goal for your future, then what’s the point of what you’re currently doing right now?

This excerpt provoked feelings of excitement and freedom for me. It honestly helped me realize what's truly important in myself in others, and to appreciate all of the aspects of being human, not just materialistic things and socially acceptable images we've perfected of ourselves. My favorite line was "I want to know if you can see beauty even when it’s not pretty, every day,
and if you can source your own life from its presence," because it illustrates one of the most important keys to living a fulfilling life: appreciate the little things and find beauty in everything. I've been really trying to relate this idea to my life recently, and I've honestly noticed a significant difference on my overall happiness and outlook on life.
