As a mood reader, I lose interest in a book if it does not appeal to me. A main example is the use of overly complex terms and politics in a fictional setting, without it being explained at the start. One example can be Red Rising by Pierce Brown.

What genre of books do you enjoy reading the most?

I feel that my taste in books is always evolving and changing. I used to enjoy thrillers, and now I am leaning more towards general fiction. A genre I highly dislike is fantasy, as the magic system and politics of the world do not really appeal to me.

My opinion on a book

I started a Science Fiction series back in April, with the first book being Red Rising by Pierce Brown. As someone who had never read Sci-Fi before, I went into the book with low expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised as there was immersive worldbuilding, and even an entire hierarchy of the people in the world. It is a mostly fast-paced book, though it will take a while to get used to the terminology. The characters are multilayered and complex, with their own motives and intentions. The main character, Darrow, has a heartbreaking and painful past, and he is determined to fight for justice. All in all, one of the best books I have read, interesting, captivating and thought-provoking.
