  • A law which requires motorists to move over (either by changing lanes safely or pulling over) for emergency vehicles such as police officers/ambulances/firefighters/utility workers/tow-truck drivers responding to an emergency call
  • If approaching a stationary vehicle with flashing/blinking/red or blue lights, make a safe lane change 
  • If approaching a tow truck/highway maintenance/emergency vehicle with flashing yellow/amber/red lights, change lanes or reduce speed

  • This was the article I read. I was actually really surprised about it?? I’d think that police officer deaths would be in something different, but apparently not. Personally, I find it kind of disgusting that this is the leading death, because it could be so easily prevented if people just paid attention and followed the rules of the road.
