I believe that what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

When I was about 5 years old, my half-brother moved away to georgia with his mom. He was a big role model in my life because he was an amazing example of how to be a good brother, how to be a good student, and just simply how to be a good person. When he got on the plane to leave, it broke my heart. I thought it was going to be the end of the world. I was put in counselling for several years, and little by little, I got happier and happier, until I just accepted the fact that I wouldn't see him much.

When I was about 10 years old I was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. I was bullied really bad for my tics, and on top of that the medicine they put me on made me gain weight very easily. It slowly started to affect my mental health. I would go through suicidal depression and anxiety, and food was my comfort. At one point I gained 7 pounds in a week. But once my Depression faded, I was able to change to ADHD medicine, which made me lose a ton of weight. I was more confident in myself, and I was a lot happier than I was in the past.
