I found the emphasis on sentence frames very interesting. ELL students may have a difficult time with science specific academic language, so providing sentence frames will allow them to focus more on the information and less on whether or not they are saying it correctly.  
2. The article said graphic organizers can help ELLS with conceptual understanding.  It is a good visual way for students to organize their thoughts during the "explore" time. 
3. I also thought is was a good idea to allow ELL students to explain what they know through drawings or physical manipulation of materials. Some of these include using manipulative materials, music, visuals, comprehensible input, and cooperative learning. These strategies can be especially helpful in science. Science has a lot of concepts along with vocabulary that may be difficult to understand, so using these strategies will not only benefit ELL students but every student. Station teaching is my personal favorite. No matter how old students are, I think participating in centers is beneficial. If students are broken up into groups by level, it provides a great chance to differentiate (for higher, lower, and ELLs). I also think this could easily be incorporated in the 5E model. Some are higher, lower, ELLs, GATE students, etc., and they are all thrown in the same elementary school classrooms. I would argue the 5E model provides opportunities for all students to succeed. Students of different levels and learning preferences can explore and become engaged in the same ways. All students can be included and challenged. Whens students are trying to solve a problem, it will be interesting to see the different ways visual/kinesthetic learners come up with solutions.
