I wouldn't mind teaching in the 19th Century. Yes it might have been long travels and a one age school house, however the needs of the children would have made me feel loved and appreciated. The exam to become a teacher seems less intense, and more of a basic exam to test knowledge. The teaching age is also much younger and the age I am now, I would already be a teacher. The love between the teacher and the students was big and how the teacher would go out of their way to help their students go beyond the expectations. It must have been challenging not having access to the same resources we have today, but life back then seemed more simplistic. It is also interesting that during the week Laura was living with the injured teacher, and I felt although she got a good primary source on how to become a good teacher and why it's important to be passionate about it.

All things considered, I would enjoy teaching in the 19th century. Something I really liked was the one room and one class dynamic. This I feel would make creating bonds with students and getting to know them all much easier. The closeness of the class would help create a comfortable and familiar environment, making teaching there feel the same way. While it could be difficult to deal with at times, I liked the differences in age between the students. This could give everyone a chance to learn from each other young and old. The lack of technology different from what we know also seemingly made students think more. Overall, teaching in the 19th century seemed enjoyable, and I think it would surely be an interesting period to teach in!

I would not have minded teaching in the 19th century. I would like the small group of students with different knowledge levels. I think that it would be very interesting teaching with what they had during this time.

I would like to teach but some things I wouldn't like teaching all ages in that one room, I wouldn't like long travels. it can be difficult to get along with others the same age, it can be awkward.

I think I would like teaching in the 19th century. Its a lot of travel and different ages but I think it would be fun. The children are attentive and usually respectful. School nowadays I would not like to teach. kids are disrespectful and do not listen.

I feel with the time period and the environment I would not mind teaching in a one room school house because, I feel it would be more simpler. maybe the requirements to become the teacher might be a little brisk, but on the other hand I feel being in a smaller room with less students would leave the teachers job to not be more easy but to be more laid back. less kids, less work, less grading, over all less stress. I feel I would enjoy working in an environment like so.

I wouldn't really mind teaching in the 19th century. I really like the one room and class set up because it gives a chance to have a closer relationship with the students, however I would feel weird if I was 16-17 and teaching students either my age or a bit older than me. That's one of the only negatives I can really think of.

Even though teaching in the 19th century could be considered challenging, because of the no grade system. I feel as though I would enjoy teaching during this time, because of the more intimate class setting. As someone who values establishing connections; with a small environment I would be able to reach more students at different levels. A relationship is one of the most important things a teacher should have with their class, and through a smaller class setting this could be achieved.

I think teaching in a one room school house would be difficult for me, given the different levels of both ages and understanding each person's individual needs. It would be hard to accommodate for both, and therefore hard to figure out the perfect lesson for students. The age difference would be weird to me as well, as some of my students could be around or of my age. I would feel as if I could not teach them as efficiently, as we will both likely be at the same level of knowledge so far in schooling. Overall, it would be an uncomfortable environment that I would have a hard time navigating
