And if a student later finds the book, what’s the process to restore it back into the system? Just scan the barcode and it will restore the title. Then give student a refund.

While you could put in for a sub, that sub cannot checkout books. In the case that you have a backup checkout person(s) on campus, it may be possible to make something work. This varies per campus, speak to those in charged at the campus level and maybe find out if they have a role for you and what that may be.

Students can use their personal login info. to view the Destiny Catalog. Parents are able to log in to preview new books from their personal technology or they can physically see it in the media center.

For the generic login for parent volunteer check in, that is a tech serivce desicion, speak to your campus principal and see what their recommendation might be.

If the principal made that decision it is up to them. You can allow the student(s) to read while they are in the media center. You can also remind student(s) & parent(s) to either bring back the book(s) or bring the payment.

I have them pulled, but have not taken them out of Destiny? I was putting them into a google sheet provided by previous MCS.

We have not done a training on weeding out books yet, so those permissions have not been set for your account.

We actually provided the read aloud audio on the September programming display.

Both the students and you are allowed to request books from other campuses through the Interlibrary Loan.

Just have a box designated for those specific type of books and placed them there until we have clear guidance of how to proceed.

You can featured series that have been low in circulation to attract more checkouts.

If this problem persist, checkout by 'patron' instead of 'by homeroom' like that you can scan their ID.

I have campus specific generic login computers for catalogue searching, but I do not have a generic login to the Follett Destiny site, and I believe this has to be provided by yall? Or is this also something that can be generated by individual campuses? Thank you!

1- Mark a book as in the hospital/being repaired so we know where to find it?

2- Add a fine to a student who ruined a book? Do I need to just mark it as lost? How does this work?

1. Are you able to repair the book? If so, you do not have to do anything on Destiny. Once it is repair just place it back in circulation. If you are not able to repair it, place it on the side, we will discuss the procedure for similar situations.

2. It is the campus decision if they want to add a fine to the student if they 'ruined' a book.
