- In the Contagion film I learned that the average person touches their face 3-5 times a day.
- The three most important steps to be prepared for natural disaster, act of terrorism, or even a disease outbreak is to get a kit, make a plan, and be informed.
- A biomedical engineer will collaborate with doctors to find what consequences the spread of disease will have.
- In the Corey B video it may have been a joke but it actually had some key points. Such as, when people are sick they need lots of care and a good night's sleep sometimes guarantees feeling better.
- Since we have such easy access to travelling, a person could carry their disease to any part of the world. A pandemic is a virus that is spread globally. Within 24 hours one person spread Sars disease to 16 others.

It shocks me how an anti-malaria drug could be similar to diesel fuel. Speeding, switching lanes, and hazardous merging are all human errors of driving. Therefore engineers believe taking away the drivers will help improve transport efficiency. Energy may be easy to obtain but it will not last forever and we must find another solution. Engineers are hoping to get energy from the solar beam down. The mirrors from this beam will bounce the sun's rays up the tower which creates steam that runs turbines for energy.

Cancer leads to fifteen thousand deaths a day. Americans fear cancer more than any other disease. One third of all cancers is due to smoking. 35,000 forms of kidney cancer is diagnosed annually. If Cancer is detected early there is a better chance of defeating the cancer. If a male has prostate cancer there is an 80-85% chance to cure the cancer. When people are diagnosed with cancer they believe they are going to die but due to scientific findings death is gradually becoming unlikely.

So many students look straight to google for the answers. But sometimes they are at risk for receiving dangerous advice or even inappropriate stuff.

When I have questions about my health I go straight to google. I go to trustworthy sites and not sites like wikipedia. In 7th grade, my teacher helped us identify untrustworthy sites by just looking at the spelling. It's important to find a trusted website when it comes to your health because one's health is so important. Websites can easily influence a kids mind.
