The main difference between the two projects mentioned above is the focus on the SDG 16 goals “Peace, justice and strong institutions”, since Germany has in this EITI project the purpose of reaching different mining areas and make technical and technological exchanges in order to promote an equitable and inclusive mining business. On the other hand, the EU in its project also focuses on promoting SDG 16 with a focus on the area of health by bringing medical services as a consequence of the failure of the peace agreement that Colombia signed with the FARC, which has not been fully complied with, because it has deprived the rural community from receiving health care.
