This upset me because girls can be stronger than boys and no one has the power to say that we can not do what boys can. A few weeks later, I came upon this song and it instantly spoke to me and showed me how strong women are. She guided me and led me to a safe path, when she died, I felt like it was not fair. I thought that God was punishing me, I knew she couldn't see me grow anymore and I knew I had to be strong without her. It was really hard to talk about her, so when people told me that it was going to be okay, I played them this song, and they knew how I felt. This song helped me talk when it was too hard. They always made me feel lesser, because I was smarter or they were taller. They made me feel bad about my accomplishments. Half way through eighth grade, I grew some thicker skin and I switched friend groups. This will forever be one of my decisions I have ever made. These girls that I am friends with now lift me up, make me laugh, and show me so much love. One day we were going to party city because my sister and I needed something for our Halloween costumes. Next door was a PetSmart, I begged my mom if we could just look. We walked in and my mom immediately told just looking, we are not adopting. When her eyes fell on this raggedy and scared little dog, she fell in love. My mom stubbornly agreed to take her home. Before we left, one of the other employees told us that Polly had been abused and that we had to be gentle with her. Polly at first, would only let my sister hold hr and feed her. When we got Polly, the lady did not know Polly's exact age, birthday, or breed and said that she was very timid. So, we had to be really calm around her. We have had Polly for three years now, and she is the smartest, most loving, and happy dog that I have ever met. She protects my sister and I with all of her strength, she may be small, but she has the courage of a lion. I love her with my whole heart and I think she is one the best things that has ever happened to my family, she changed all of us and makes us all so joyful.
