Prediction: We believe that it affects are heart rate because we think that the heart and the respiratory system are connected.
Answer: We found on the website, livescience.com that your heart rate is connected to your breathing rate. When you normally breathe in your heart rate increases slightly then decreases again when you breathe out. That's why when you breathe faster (like when you exercise),your heart rate goes up. If you don't breathe your heart won't beat as fast. This is how your breathing affects your heart rate. You could also check your pulse to test how breathing affects your heart you can check your pulse. You can feel your pulse on the side of your neck, wrist, back of your knee, and elbow.

Prediction: I predict that as you get older you loose more brain cells.
Answer: There are a lot of different things that can kill your brain cells. The websites we used to research this topic were, www.tophealthnews.net and www.wakeupworld.com. You loose brain cells almost everyday with just some of the everyday thing that you use.Stress is a really big thing that kills our brain cells. Concussions and lack of sleep kills your brain cells as well. Somethings can kill a lot of brain cells, like electronics which is something that people use almost everyday, and by eating junk foods like candy and popcorn too. Speaking of popcorn, when you microwave popcorn and stand in front of the microwave the waves go to your brain, and that kills some of your brain cells. Everyday things can kill your brain cells so it’s good to be aware of these things you do

Q: What goes on inside a deaf persons ear that causes them to be deaf? (Analytical)

Prediction: From what we know we think that the cause of people being deaf is that when they were babies maybe something made their ears not work.
Answer: There are actually a lot of reasons why people are deaf. On the website www.kidshealth.com we found out what all the types of hearing loss or deafness are and what they mean. Three types of hearing loss are: sensorineural, central hearing loss, and conductive. Conductive hearing loss is when there is a problem with the outer or middle part of the ear. When there is a problem in either one of those areas it blocks sound from going to the inner ear. Sensorineural is when there is a problem with the connection from the inner ear to the brain. This happens when tiny hair cells in the cochlear are damaged or destroyed. Finally, Central hearing loss happens when the cochlear is working properly but parts of the brain aren't. This type of hearing loss is very rare.

Prediction: I think that you loose white blood cells with the shortage of bone marrow.
Answer: Loosing white blood cells is a great topic to search about. The website we used was www.mayoclinic.org. White blood cells are also called Leukocytes. White blood cells are apart of the immune system. Bone marrow is what white blood cells are made out of. To be low on white blood cells there is a viral infection that temporarily disrupt the work of the bone marrow. If you have cancer or some other diseases you will most likely damage your bone marrow. Sever infections that use up white blood cells faster then they are produced can also be the case of low blood cells. Antibiotics kill your white blood cells and some other medications too. White blood cells are really important so lets try are best to keep are immune system healthy.

If you go to the hospital the first thing that they will do is stabilize your blood to prevent further damage. A broken spine may cause damage around it like other bones and nerves. The nerves tell your brain to move your body but if they break, you won't be able to move. The spine is really important so lets try to prevent any damage to it.

Prediction: From what we know we think that our eyes change colour from light.
Answer: It turns out that a lot of things can cause our eyes to change colour. We used the website 2020onsite.com to find our answer. One of the reasons is light. When you look directly at light your pupil gets smaller, pigments in the iris(a muscle in your eye that gives your eye its colour) compress (flatten by pressure) or spread apart. That causes your eye to change colour slightly. Your diet is another thing that can cause you eyes to change colour. Foods like spinach, onions, olive oil, fish, nuts and organic honey can change your eye colour. These foods will only change your eye colour if you eat them a lot.

Prediction: We think that your body is not used to the weird substance and reacts to it, which causes an allergic reaction.
Answer: This was a really interesting question to work on.The website we used was www.webmd.com. Our immune system starts fighting off the substance that are usually harmless to the human body. When your body fights it off it causes a reaction, causing you to usually feel itchy, get a rash and have a runny nose. The history of your family affects your chances of getting allergies. Most people are allergic to peanuts and pollen. If you have really bad allergies you probably have an epipen which you ingect in to your body. Allergic reactions are caused by the most normal things that you eat or see all the time. This is what causes an allergic reaction.
