Hello, my dear Grade 9 students! Welcome to the AY 2021-2022, the 2nd school year of the new normal. I am your English teacher, Ms. Arlene Emily A. Cuaresma. I know the past school year had been hard for you because it was the first time that classes were conducted online, through module or offline digital. I hope that this school year, you have already adjusted to our mode of learning because this will take a while before we go back to what we were used to. Because of this pandemic, our strength and resilience have been tested. Do not make this a reason to give up on your dreams and neglect your responsibilities as students. So I hope you will rise up to the challenge by doing well in your studies.

Our subject English 9 is all about Anglo-American Literature. It is said that the purpose of literature is not only to understand the works of particular writers in a literary period but also to look into significant human experiences that will allow for a better understanding of life itself.
