Both Santa Clarita and Levittown are divided into distinctive neighborhoods. Levittown's neighborhoods consisting of Birch Valley, Stonybrook, and Lakeside. Santa Clarita's neighborhoods would consist of Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Valencia, Canyon Country, Newhall, and Saugus. Another similarity between Levittown and Santa Clarita would be through the common themes throughout the neighborhoods. For instance, in Levittown there are places like Birch Valley, named after birch trees. This is similar to my personal neighborhood of Stevenson Ranch which is named after famous authors. Both suburbias are located outside of major industrial areas, for instance Santa Clarita is located outside of Los Angeles. However whilst being located outside of these major industrial areas, both suburban communities are supported by the  existence of commercial centers. Case in point Levittown has shopping centers in its community similar to Santa Clarita's Westfield Mall which it accompanied by smaller local communities. A contrast between to two suburbia's comes through the population growth rate. Levittown grew at a much faster rate as compared to Santa Clarita as Levittown. Levittown quite literally had a "Caucasian Clause" that excluded all other racial groups other than whites. This actually defied state and national laws. Levittown was designed to attract veterans however it was only entailed for white veterans. Levittown rejected other races regardless of veterans status. Firstly, Levittown calls to the middle class income range , whereas SCV is filled with variety of home incomes. While Santa Clarita is a majority middle class community, there are differing extreme ends of income. Levittown and Santa Clarita do offer similarity in their ready-made housing. However contrasting to Levittown, in Santa Clarita there is variance in price depending on the neighborhood the house. In general the price of homes is not considered "budget". While Santa Clarita is more effective at this social aspect Levittown suffers from being "too congested for effective variety and too spread out for social relationships necessary among high school children, old folks and families..." Santa Clarita also offers institutions like libraries for community bonding and recreation. Housing styles in both Levittown and Santa Clarita tend to be monotonous as there are similar floor plans and exteriors throughout the community. Levittown presents the idea that this monotony is initially hard to overcome, though one eventually gets acclimated. Santa Clarita in turn, effectively disperses monotony in neighborhoods and also involves a connection to nature for residents. Parks provide a source of entertainment and relaxation for residents.
