The TVA has become the nations biggest public power provider. The land was first purchased in 1916 but nothing was done with it until 1933. President Franklin Roosevelt saw it as a new deal project. By 1934 9,173 people were employed and 16 dams were built by the agency in just 10 years. The Dam for the first time combined flood control and electricity generation. The agency gave advice to farmers to boost crop yields and lots of other stuff. TVA worked with communities and state and local agencies. In 1940 it provided electricity for aluminum plants. The TVA planed to creates a system of nuclear power plants in 1966. A fire happened but the TVA recovers with more improvements to nuclear plants.

Describe the program, including all of the steps of implementation and how it worked. When did it begin and end?:
The program began on March 6th 1933 and was given by Franklin Roosevelt, making all the banks closed until further notice. Congress held sessions in the time of its closing, aiming to bring back public support in the financial system. Civilians, for the most, seemed surprisingly calm about the act, even making compromises to one another when it came to money. To prevent reopened banks from failing, Congress decided to open them in classified stages. Class A banks weren't in much danger of failing, and though Class B s' were weakened, they could be capable of reopening. Class C s' would not be allowed to reopen, and all of this was incorporated into the Emergency Banking Act. The idea of government script was also scraped in the process, and instead, currency was decided to be issued to banks by sound assets instead of against gold. The Emergency Banking Act was passed March 9th, reopening banks scheduled to do so and recovered them, thus ending the worst of the economic crisis.
