In the book PTSD affected the main character because after he came back from the war he would have flashbacks caused by sounds or by actions. This issue dose impact the story because the choices he makes were almost based on him having PTSD. Also as he continues to have these dreams his attitude changes he starts to be more aggressive and violent.This issue dose end up changing him because he is more distant  from his friends and family. He teaches us that this is a serious issue that can really change someone  and damage them mentally. Things that cause PTSD are long deployments and begin in combat situations. This issue relates to my world because I have a lot of family members that are in armed forces and it seems that some of my family members might be at risk of having it. Also i'm thinking about being in the armed forces and I am aware of what might face if I do. I think this issue needs to be solved because there has been cases where soldiers kill themselves and sometimes loved ones, so I think this is really serious issue that we should solve.
