When I was born

August 7th 2010, that's the day my story began. My mother was in America all alone as a Palestinian woman with only a passport and no English vocabulary at all. She didn't have anyone with her just her and her aunt and they were there just so I can have an American passport. There were many roadblocks but eventually it all worked out and my story begun.

Moving to Canada

When I first moved to Canada, I was Three years old. My parents applied for a visa to move to Canada the year I was born, it was finally excepted when I turned 3. My brother was 6 years old which meant he had to go straight into grade school. It was hard on my family to move since my parents didn't know much English so finding a school for my brother and finding a job was very hard but eventually it all worked out.

Starting Soccer/Football

When I first entered school I was really shy I didn't really speak to anyone except for when I played soccer. Soccer was my passion its all I cared about I would play every chance I got. It was the way I made friends and how I would start every conversations with everyone I knew and didn't. I played on the school team, outside school academies and I continued it throughout all of elementary school until covid began.

The Corona Virus

When Covid-19 began it was one of the toughest times of my life, I was in grade 4 and wasn't allowed to play soccer anymore, not on the school team and not on my academy. The Corona Virus cancelled school for 5 months before they started online and until that time I was in a rough patch and it wasn't until I found clarity in playing video games that I was genuinely passionate about something again.

The Fortnite Outbreak

I started playing video games as a way to pass time and I played for at least 5-6 hours every single day I played games like Minecraft, Roblox and Call of Duty but my brother never played them with me. He played a game called Fortnite. One time he was playing and I argued with him that it was my turn to play and I ended up noticing how fun the game looked. That day I watched him play the whole day and learned with him. I played it every day it became an obsession, it was all I did. I played every single day for at least 8 hours, I would wake up early around 7, eat breakfast then play until midnight. I loved it so much I didn't even acknowledge that I was hungry sometimes. The worlds obsession with Fortnite became so much some news, schools told parents to ban their children from playing because of how addicted people were.

Back to School

After Covid-19 ended, I was going into grade 6 which was the beginning of middle school. and was a complete addict of Fortnite. I couldn't quit until my parents made me. They said that school was starting up again and they wanted me to focus more on getting back into the "normal life." I didn't quite understand what they meant by a normal life but I just went with it. Going back to school was really scary for me. I didn't want to have to go into a new school with only 1-2 people I knew but I had to. That's when I began to notice that many people at this school were huge basketball fans. I always knew what basketball was, even my brother loved basketball but I never really looked into it.

Falling in Love with Basketball

I started hearing about basketball more and more, which made me curious why people loved it so much. I ended up asking my brother why everyone liked it so much? He told me that it was just so creative there's so much different aspects of the sport and there's a big league in America with the top 500 best basketball players in the world called the NBA. I started looking at everything differently I wanted to become an NBA player more than anything. I started playing everyday for 3-4 hours everyday at the park near my house it became my whole personality. All I did was go to school, play basketball, eat then sleep everyday of grade 6,7 and most of grade 8 until I moved to Jordan

Moving to Jordan/Saudi

I came home from the park one day and my parents told me that we were moving countries from Canada to Saudi Arabia. I wasn't excited at all. I was really mad and didn't believe them I thought it was fake I tried to deny it until I ended up moving. Moving from Canada to Jordan was terrible, I hated it so much so we ended up leaving in a few months and we started a new life here in Saudi Arabia
