I vaguely remember it being something that I enjoyed. I started out by first reading a few words on the page and having my mom help me pronounce the words that I wasn't sure of. Eventually, I was able to start reading books of various skill levels on my own. I remember being very frustrated at first, but was I started getting the hang of it, it became something I enjoyed. Knowing all my letters and constantly be read to at home really helped me with reading. I remember it came really easy to me and I think it was because I was getting support not only at school, but also at home. I always had a positive experience with it and was always motivated to read especially out loud to the whole class. I LOVE reading now. I learned to reading in upper elementary school with colored over lays and simple things.
