         <title>In our middle school libraries, we are having a lot of conversations and evaluating student understanding by listening to student responses and observing student behavior when finding books for independent reading.  We do some writing in the LMC, but have not used writing prompts to gauge understanding.  I like the idea of the three different types of prompts and will begin to utilize these during LMC lessons/visits.</title>
