Observations: There are 4 bats at the corners of the stone carved windows, which has the same pronunciation as ci 赐 fu 福 (四蝠) which means to be blessed with luck or prosperity. 

Inference: Bats are also used in Chinese temples in China as symbols of fortune and prosperity. Observation - She is placed in the centre of the main hall 

Inferences - This is the Mazu temple and it is very important for Chinese immigrants in the past as She protected them from the seas.
