One connection I can make between the benchmark and the real world is by using the measurements and relating it back to the real word problems in the example and work together problem.

I will use anecdotal notes, verbal responses, and physical responses (thumbs-up-down- and in the middle).

The student’s performance will be assessed using a exit ticket worksheet where they will be required to independently complete one multiple choice question where they will convert two different measurements. Therefore, assessing their ability to convert measurement units.
