In Hertz’s segment, he would explain first his background of when he lived and the work that led up to his biggest experiment. There would then be a scale replica of the induction coil and Leyden jar set up to show how he took Maxwell's equations on electric and magnetic fields to produce electromagnetic waves. The lights would darken as Vin Deisel explained how the current jumping the spark gap induces electromagnetic waves that then are observed by the spark gap between two brass spheres. After the experiment, he would talk about how his discoveries paved the way for communication over long distances.

We would cast Henry Cavill as Augustin-Jean Fresnel. Cavill would explain that Fresnel used Huygens Principle to make a mathematical description of diffraction. In 1817, he studied the laws of interference for polarized light, and he was the first to obtain circularly polarized light. This discovery led him to the conclusion that light was a transversal wave. Additionally, he created the Fresnel lens that includes hundreds of specially cut glass pieces surrounding a lamp bulb. It was used in lighthouses and other inventions to narrow the light into brighter and more concentrated beams.

We would cast Harrison Ford as Albert Michelson and Jeff Goldblum as Edward Morley. They would explain how they collaborated to do the Michelson-Morley-Experiment which asked the question of whether there is a medium that light travels through called ether. They would further explain how this theoretical ether would cause light to move in a separate direction while traveling towards the mirrors (almost like wind pushing it). They would use the example of a person running a 100-meter race facing north. If the wind (ether) was moving from southwest to northeast, the runner (light) would be propelled in the northeast direction and theoretically run faster and get pushed in the northeast direction. They would then include the crowd in the discussion and ask for volunteers to predict whether or not the light would go faster. After getting volunteers, they would explain how they tested the theory. They explain how they used Michelson’s interferometer that produces light with extreme precision and reflected the light onto two separate mirrors to see if their reflections would return at the same time. They also did this in every direction in order to take all potential ethers into account. After several trials they saw that the beams of light returned at the same time and discovered that there is no medium that light travels through. Lastly, they would explain how it is influential to the history of light because Einstein used the information to discover his theory on light and relativity later on.

We would cast Shaquielle O’Neal to play Ibn al-Haytham. We would have Shaq pop out of a comically small camera obscura and show to the audience how it works through concepts like the pin-hole camera. He will then explain that light can be thought of as rays perpendicular to an object. He would then tell the audience that an image is produced by those light rays bouncing off mediums and reflecting perpendicularly towards an observer. This would lead to Shaq explaining Haytham’s Theory of Optics, and how a cone of light rays bounce off an object back to the optic nerves behind our eyes, in which our brains then perceive the image. He would then enter a room full of mirrors and explain his Law of Refraction which explains how light reacts with reflective surfaces. As a final display, Shaq would then pull out a crystal ball and smash it on the ground. Out of the pieces on the ground, a perfect converging lens would be on the ground, which magnifies far away objects. Shaq would be surprised about this and write this observation down in his Book of Optics, which would play an incredibly important part in future scientists’ understanding of optics and how light behaves.

Max Planck would use light up balls to explain his quantum theory and how light comes in particles called “quanta.” Then Albert Einstein would come on stage. He would explain how light has characteristics of both a particle, explained by Planck, and a wave. Then Planck would leave the stage. Einstein would walk through the hypothesis of the photoelectric effect. The photoelectric effect is a phenomenon in which electrons are emitted from a material when it is exposed to a form of electromagnetic radiation, such as light. He will then run through how it is used to create electricity from light.

My part of the experience will be acted out by Neil deGrasse Tyson. He will add scientific backing to the rest of the famous actors. His tone and understanding will set a base for remembrance. He will first recap the information prior acted out and then transition to the present. He will touch on the far reaches of Socrates and then recollect on the spectrum of colors and the double-slit experiment. He will ask the audience to name fast things hoping for answers like cars, airplanes, superheroes, and animals. He then will ask the question of how fast is light? The audience should be engaged and shout out answers. Then the number of 299,792,458 m/s will pop up on the screen. Neil will relate it to the human mind just how large that number really is. An introduction to the Evensen experiment that measured this speed should ensue. The use of high known frequency laser and the half mirror to measure destructive and constructive interference at half a wavelength of light. A set of this experiment will be present on stage and Tyson will ask for an audience member to help him conduct the experiment. Next will be a segway to wave/particle aspect of light. He then will talk about how light bends in vacuum due to gravity which Newton first suggested. A representation of gravity and the stretching of space will be presented with a ball on fabric on the stage. Lastly leaving an effect, he will talk about the experiments with particle accelerators. He will use hot wheels, a circular track and a motor that constantly speeds up the car's travel which will represent the particle accelerator. He then will relay this to the experiment of using gold ion’s traveling the speed of light to tell the audience that photons can produce a matter and antimatter pair.
