The impact of colony collapse disorder is extremely significant to the honeybee population and the environment. 25-40% of bees in the United States have vanished since last fall. Although the cause is unknown, some think its due to environmental causes or the bees change. It affects the honeybee population because more and more bees are dying. Bees leaving collapsing hives do no look healthy. Scientists suspect there may be a parasite damaging the bees digestive system. Since more bees are dying their will soon be a shortage of honey. Honey is important and is an important part of the pollination process. Without pollination our world will be a very different place. They contribute to ⅓ of the food we grow to eat, such as apples, watermelons, and almonds. Without them pollinating our food humans will also face major implication of possible food shortages. In order to prevent a shortage of bees, honey, and other plants, humans can do their part to help. When humans develop gardens or farms, they need to make sure they are not using any harmful chemicals.

The impact of colony collapse disorder is that the bees are disappearing. Bees pollinate to help our food to grow. This process is known as pollination and occurs when bees feed and transfer pollen from plant to plant. Without any bees, flowers and other plants will not be pollinated. Ultimately, colony-collapse is affecting not only bees, but people too. It is our job to help figure out what is happening to bees and try to save the remaining population. One way that humans can help is by constructing new bee hives in their back yards. People can hire a local company to place beehives in their backyards, which will help the population of bees grow. In turn this helps plant life, trees, fruits, and even humans. Colony collapse disorder is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. Find out more ways you can help at savethebees.org.

The impact of colony collapse disorder is less honey bees in the world. Colony collapse disorder is the decline of honey bees due to many possible factors. The colony collapse according to scientists has probably occurred from parasites in bees’ stomachs or from the environment. The pesticides that farmers are using may be contributing to this disorder. It is thought that the insecticide is harming bees immune systems and causing them to die. These causes of colony collapse are detrimental to the ecosystem where bees live. Honey bees are responsible for a large amount of pollination which produces ⅓ of our food. With the declining bee population, pollination is now declining, leading to the death of crops and flowers. Farmers are very concerned by the rate of their crops dying, like apples, watermelons, and almonds. The farmers concern should be our concern! The bees lack of pollination affects our food crops and in turn those that eat the crops. Some solutions to the bee decline include putting in place more bee hives and no longer using harmful pesticides.
