* Promoting each child's self-esteem & encourage the active participation of all children regardless of ability.

My View:

Some children are hyperactive and could not focus for long. They tend to interrupt or create attention just to get our focus. These children are usually being cast aside so they are not disturbing the team. I would go thru the extra mile to reach them and try to bring them back to the circle of friends doing things together.

* Promote the joy of learning by engaging the child in an intellectually stimulating & social satisfying programme & environment.

* Support the right for ALL children to play and learn in an inclusive early childhood environment.

My View:

Children are creative and playful at these stage. If we were to do theoretical education, they will lose interest at a very young age. Having fun, discovering and being creative helps the young children to grow better and happier.

As an educarer, I would respect them as an individuals and recognise their abilities/disabilities without any discrimination. They are very outspoken, and by listening to them, they wont be in fear to share what they feel.

* Demonstrate sound knowledge of early childhood development in our daily practice.

My View:

When we practice consistency in our daily care for the children, they will slowly able to follow our patterns. From the basic care to the planned programmed (eg. shower, eating, napping, playing, outdoor walks and visits etc). Even with a simple outdoor play or outing, they know that there will be something happening in the daycare and will always look forward to come back tomorrow.

* Early childhood education gives in a direct link to children's physical, social, emotional, & cognitive development.

* Believing that children, who are exposed to early learning programmes, tend to be equipped with better social and learning skills.

* Some research also shows that these children, who are more capable of managing themselves, due to the exposure they have since very young, may have fewer behavioural problems.

My View:

I strongly believe that early childhood development is a very crucial stage - if we didn't take good care of it. For I have witness from my third child, whom is the only one that manage to go through early development from Infant Care. I was very amazed with her attitude towards learning and much enthusiasts to attend daily school. From there, I would love to be there for the children of our future, helping them grow with the right milestone and be a happy learner like my little girl.
