Japanese internment camps had a very bad affect on Japanese Americans. Because the government put them in internment camps it made them seem like a threat to the rest of america. The government felt like they needed to imprison Japanese Americans, therefor the rest of america had a bad view of Japanese Americans.

The cause of Japanese American internment camps was fear of espionage from Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Hysteria among the public pushed the government into removing the Japanese Americans. The internment camps caused anti-Japanese American sentiment to flourish, even after WW2, because it deemed the Japanese Americans as a threat.

Japanese American internment camps were caused solely by fear. Americans feared that the Japanese Americans loyalties lied elsewhere and would sabotage the US. The internment camps caused many people to remain prejudice to the Japanese Americans even after they were deemed no longer a threat.

After Japan bombed Pearl Harbor America went to war with Japan, and became suspicious of spies. American citizens and the media starting stirring up anxiety and hysteria about Japanese spies, and people starting getting scared. American citizens and the press put a lot of pressure on the government to take action, and the government decided to solve this by relocating all Japanese-Americans. This created many issues because everyone started to treat Japanese people unfairly and began to discriminate. After enduring all of this hatred Japanese internees began to riot and stand up for themselves through violence, which led to more oppression.

The public thought the Japanese were putting America in danger and that all of the Japanese were unfaithful. due to all the pressure and some evidence that some Japanese were actually unfaithful they were obligated to evacuate groups of Japanese people .

The causes of Japanese interment camps were from the American people/public and government. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, understandably, the American people became frightened. Instead of working through this fear, the public used to look for something to blame in order to try and calm their fears. All these emotions came out towards the Japanese Americans, who had done no wrong. Although the public sparked this incident, I still blame the American government because instead of adding on to the horrific and shameful practice, they could have spend their money, time, and energy on condemning the issue and educating others.
