The book "Daring to Drive" by Manel Al Sharif introduced me to the challenges faced by women in Saudi Arabia to obtain a higher education degree. As an International Admission Counselor with the Middle East as my recruitment region, I am drawn to this part of the world. Learning about the obstacles faced by women to obtain a higher education, helped me understand more benefits in these women studying abroad. Additionally, it made me want to learn more about the challenges they face in studying at a higher education institution as well as how the education they receive is affected by sex segregation and whether they obtain the same quality of education as males or not.
