I live in the Sicomoro neighborhood with my husband and my daughter, I live in a house, it is a very quiet neighborhood, I like it a lot because it is very close to everything, 5 minutes from the square and downtown There is also a park very close to the house where I take my daughter to have fun.

Talking about my city/town:

The main tourist attractions in Melgar Tolima are the Cafam vacation center, Piscilago water park, Ciudad Reptilia, San Isidro farm and the Ikarus water park, families usually come to share.
The typical food of my region are the Tolimense tamales and the suckling pig, it is prepared with a variety of ingredients, the tamales have rice, yellow peas, carrots, potatoes, big-headed onion, eggs and pork, beef and chicken, the suckling pig has rice and yellow peas are very typical dishes in my city.
The main celebrations in Melgar are the San Francisco de Asis festival, which is celebrated in October, and the San Pedro festival in July.
People usually go out to enjoy folkloric parades, gastronomic and business fairs, beach volleyball championships, horseback riding, motorcycle rides. In my city, visitors can enjoy the different tourist attractions, the food, and the delicious warm weather.
