         <description><![CDATA[<div>The very top rank was the Emperor, but was just a figurehead.<br>The actual ruler was the Shogun, the supreme military leader.<br>Below him were the daimyo, the powerful landlording samurai.<br>the third was the Samurai, and next is the pheasants and artisans came next, making up 4/5 of the population, and the merchants at the bottom, but later moved up in society.</div>]]></description>
