As an early years advisor, my personal ideology of education is progressivist, because I believe that education should be child-centred and individualised. This is because I follow the EYFS Framework (2017) which contains child-centred statements such as 'every child is a unique child' and practitioners must consider the individual needs, interests and stage of development of each child in their care'.

In my position as the football coach, I like the children to be happy and active. I enjoy the idea of them leading their knowledge of the sport and their own techniques in their own time to allow them to progress to their own standard. Whilst it's important the children learn the technique it's a tool to allow them to develop. I'd like to see this attitude implemented around the curriculum, not all children are going to develop at the same pace as others and it's our job as faculty to give them the tools to progress.
