That seems to annoy Ally because that "escape" from the class is gone. So, that's another thing she has to deal with. She also dose not have any friends. I also have read and learned is that she is a really good artist and is really good at math too. She has a huge imagination which inspires her for her drawings for her Sketchbook of Impossible things. We also found out that Albert has bruises because after school kids fight him and he won't fight back.We also found out that Albert has five pairs of the same flint shirt. He wears it because it is the name of his favorite Star Trek character. Also, it was shocking when Mr. Daniels gave Ally a pity/ fake award for her poem. We also learned that Travis dose not like his new temporary boss because the new boss makes him follow the directions on fixing cars exactly. Even thought Travis prefers doing it his way and from memory. We also get to see Ally getting the help for her being dyslexia. We also get to see how Mr. Daniels uses different techniques with Ally to help her read and write. We also, learn that Mr. Daniels is taking courses to become a special education teacher. We also get to see how Albert's family life style is like. We also get to see a cool cookie/ cupcake experiment. In chapter 29, Ally's class goes on what looks to be a fun field trip- for Ally, a much-needed break from school. However, it quickly takes a turn for the worse as her classmates mock her. She runs out of the Noah Webster House- the sight of the field trip- and to a swingset behind it. In her sadness, Mr. Daniels finds her to encourage and comfort her. He describes how bright and talented she is, and how she can and will learn to read. He later gives her several tests, and the results prove to him that her trouble in school springs from dyslexia. He then offers to stay after school with Ally to play chess and, to Ally's delight, teach her how to read. While she is hesitant about the chess, she realizes that she actually has a knack for it and is very good. She jumps at the chance to learn to read, and for good reason. Mr. Daniels's methods of teaching her, including writing in shaving cream, are fun, easy, and helpful for Ally. At this point, Ally is also given valuable time to talk with her father. He finally stood up because they were hurting Keshia and Ally. We also has names for Ally and Keshia based on how they act. Ally's name is the flying tiger. Keshia's is the baby. Albert's is the elephant. We also learn that Ally's older brother Travis is also has dyslexia. We also get to see the other kids in Ally's class starting to like Ally. We also get to see Jessica stop being friends with Shay. We also get to see Ally become student of the month and class president. Those are some of the major events in the book.
