He focused on what she is learning and not on what can prevent her from learning. He doesn’t become an obstacle for her to go over like her regular teachers at school who really just get in her way to accomplish what she wants. He acknowledges the fact that she is incapable to do certain things because of her size but he knows that it isn’t a big factor that will stop her completely. He is still teaching her what he knows about how to use the tools he has in his red tool chest.

Because someone took the time to teach her, she is finally able to actually learn. She begins to understand the way people look at her and the impact that has on her education.
