Of course we want students to be as successful as possible and to receive an education, but beyond education there are many paths and goals a student could have and different ways to achieve them. To expand, I believe each student should have equal access to a basic education to put everyone on equal footing to start, but after that it is my job to work with the student to learn their goals and how they could achieve them, while encouraging them to forge their own path when necessary. I plan to advocate for resources for students as needed, and to make sure I keep an open mind to all possibilities and stay informed of current job markets for all types of opportunities in addition to higher education.


My vision statement is that as a School Counselor, I want to help students determine their path in life and define what success means to them. My showing empathy and adaptability for individual situations, needs, and goals, I hope to empower every student to achieve their own success.
