The first resource for learning about UDL is YouTube. YouTube is an online video platform where individuals worldwide can post and watch videos. This is a great resource because it features videos from a diverse range of individuals, including professionals, who share their insights on universal design. This is relevant to my understanding of UDL because it provides information in a visual and listening-friendly way. This is great because UDL is committed to providing a way for everyone to learn. You can watch short videos that explain UDL in depth.

This is the CAST UDL Guidelines. CAST stands for Center for Applied Special Technology. This organization developed universal design for learning. The guidelines break UDL down into three categories: engagement, representation, and action & expression. This resource is relevant because it offers checkpoints and strategies for teachers to use in the classroom. This gives a clear structure of the three UDL principles you can apply.

The Novak Education website has all kinds of resources. The website offers teachers different kinds of practice tools to help them implement universal design. They offer development planning, UDL accessibility, accommodation crosswalks, and UDL choice boards. All of these resources were made to help better develop teaching methods using UDL. These resources are relevant to my understanding of universal design because the tools align directly with helping colleagues learn universal design.

The Johns Hopkins University website has a resource library on UDL material. The library has resources that contain links to articles, tips, strategies, and other helpful UDL material. Several pages can link you to many different resources to learn about universal design. Some of these pages include UDL guidelines, UDL in higher education, and instructional methods. I find this resource relevant to my understanding of universal design because it offers a huge array of resources that can help you learn about UDL.

This resource is TED Talks. I believe this is a wonderful resource if you want to learn about universal design. There is a specific TED Talk that will do it better than others. "Why We Need Universal Design | Michael Nesmith | TEDxBoulder." This talk is done by Michael Nesmith, who is deaf and a native American Sign Language speaker. This video is relevant in understanding universal design because it gives clear examples of why universal design is important and needed.

The Washington State University Office of the Provost has a great resource for someone wanting to learn about UDL. This unique page offers a variety of incredible resources, including some of the university's own. I believe this resource is spectacular because of the diversity of links it gives to learn about UDL. Some of these links include websites, tutorials, workshops, and presentations. This would be great for someone to look at when they are getting into UDL.

UDL on Campus is a website that is designed to help higher education teachers apply universal design for learning. This website provides examples, strategies, and case studies showing how UDL can be impactful and implemented in the classroom for higher education. This resource is relevant to my understanding of UDL because it connects UDL to a college setting. The focus on higher learning resonates with me because I am a college student.

The IRIS Center, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, has free online modules. These modules give a detailed overview of what UDL is. They provide videos, case studies, and practice activities. This resource is relevant to my understanding of UDL because it gives good practice so you can actually start to implement some techniques of universal design.
