But when I got the book I was so busy doing other things related to school that I was not able to read it until 2016. If you love dramatic books, you'll definitely love this one. This book was so dramatic that it made me cry. I know what you’re thinking, you’re probably thinking, who wants to read a book that will make them cry. Well, me. In my opinion that just makes me want to read it even more. In the book, the main character was named Auggie Pullman and he was diagnosed with an illness called “mandibulofacial dysostosis". This prevented him from going to school. In addition, he had many surgeries done to his face which made him self conscious about the way he looked like. 
During the first day of school he wore a astronaut helmet to cover up his face. He was repeatedly bullied by a boy named Julian and his gang. Which made him even more self conscious then he already was. This book had so much feeling included in the book that it made the book so good. In my opinion, this book was about gaining self confidence and it shouldn’t matter what you look like from the outside.
