I feel happy and content as a new teacher at Dent. I feel that way because I feel that I'm finally getting into a groove with my classes, and I feel very supported by my coworkers and admin. :)

I'm content but tired. I am just going through the motions right now, but with juggling work and home...a little tired.

More confident but still frustrated by bad behavior. I have reached out to parents and I need to speak with them. Frankly, I need a conference with some. The seating chart allows me to know who did what and the other students do not tattle or "rat out" anyone but do inform me in CONFIDENTIAL whispers after class. I appreciate everyone who has had to but up with a needed, clingy pest.

Today I feel annoyed and anxious but at the same time I feel relieved. I am annoyed because I feel as though some of my classes are losing their structure. So I have to reteach my expectations. I am anxious because I won't be in tomorrow so I am trying to get all of my sub plans in order. Also I keep remembering that I will have my 4.0 soon. I feel relieved because the day is almost over, I know what I have to get done, and the days will always come to an end. I will get through it.

I am acclimating well. I am gradually feeling more in control as I get to know who to go to for the things I need. I've never taught in such a large school with so many staff before. My biggest hope is that I can get some more understanding on how the magnet programs interact with each other. It's difficult for me to know who is TLC and 2 Academies.
